Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Chosen for the ship and the ports that it visited with the least amount of sea days as neither myself or my wife like sea days. Herculaneum was great but in my opinion not as good as Pompeii. There were a number of issues with the drinks package and some of the bars. The staff in select dining were excellent and the food was great as it was in all areas. Cakes and coffee to die for in the ...

To see Europe ....and enjoy celebrity once again.please look at review below which I misplaced under cabin review. As well, embarkation check in was very stressful...young woman didn't have a clue how to use the " new" computer system.shore excursions on big bus feels like cattle being herded..especially when visiting ancient villages. Shore excursion to volterra and San Giavanni was not fun ...

Bbeing Aqua class we were able to skip the massive queues waiting to embark at Barcelona. Our cabin was great and well serviced. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellant in Blu restaurant and the staff were brilliant. We also really enjoyed eating in Quisne and Marano. Apart from the food, the highlight of the cruise was the evening entertainment. We went to the show ...

Pleasant cruise but essentially not a luxury cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

We chose Celebrity as our estate agent led us to believe it was a luxury cruise company, but I wouldn't have said so from our experience recently on the Celebrity Eclipse. I travelled with my 82 year old mother for her birthday to various ports across the mediteranian. We chose an Aqua class cabin and should have had priority boarding due to my mother's age and her being registered disabled. ...

This was my first cruise and I absolutely loved it. I couldnt believe how effortless boarding the ship was, I've never seen such an efficient operation before, it was quite impressive. We ate at the main dining room most nights and were served by an amazing team, in particular our sommelier Ana was brillant, there was 11 of us in total some nights, 3 of us wanted anything with bubbbles, 2 ...

We chose this cruise because we had been on celebrity summit previously which was excelllent. We did back to back cruises of the Mediterraneanthis time. The destinations were wonderful but the staff were poor in comparison with a few exceptions Suraraj , Joyce and Choti. We travelled in a sky suite which gave us access to Luminae restaurant and Michaels club. The concierge never spoke to us the ...

Wonderful Ports/Great for Kids

We chose this cruise for the ports. It was a wonderful experience. Our cabin steward was kind, caring, and attentive. A very hard worker and we appreciated his trustworthiness! The ship shows some signs of age, especially in the cabin bathrooms but it didn’t impede our enjoyment. Food was okay, not the best we have had but the staff all over the ship were great - especially in the kids club. The ...

Tired Ship

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

Chose this trip to take my family, wife, 2 married children and 2 grandchildren on a Med cruise in August The ship is very tired There were too many passengers 2560 compared to the advertised capacity and no extra staff. Consequently bar service slow, public areas not cleaned to a high enough stand. Open dining arrangements a nightmare and when we had to use a tender service about a 1.25 ...

We embarked the ship around 12:00pm, and our rooms weren’t ready until 1:00pm however it did give us a chance to explore the ship & enjoy the food. On the first evening the restaurants were super busy - so i would recommend booking or turing up early. However we did manage to find a table at the Tuscan restaurant where the staff were very friendly and accomodating & gave us very generous ...

Pleasantly surprised by Celebrity Constellation

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

BACKGROUND My DW and I are Diamond RCCL cruisers, we decided to give Celebrity a try to open up more itinerary choices. The fact that Celebrity gives us Elite status was another deciding factor. We have sailed smaller ships and mega ships before and are ok with either, understanding that we usually have to give up size for a more unique itinerary. We chose this Constellation 9 night cruise ...
