Having done a number of Transatlantic cruises we opted for a Transpacific cruise to Tokyo, and the eight days at sea did not deter us. We tend to prefer longer cruises with sea days. Celebrity almost always has excellent speakers and this cruise was no exception. We tried to catch all the talks.
This is our second cruise in Aqua. The ammenities make the trip so much more enjoyable so thats what we look for now. Our cabin, an A1 was a long way from the spa and because of the weather we didn't use it.

As the caption suggests, my main dissatisfaction with the cruise was the was overly-amplified "ambient" music everywhere, and it was always of the thump-thump variety. There was no escaping it. While the overall cruise was very enjoyable, since we were with friends, we have for the first time, being Elite members, have found some issues with the food and/or the prep. This was the first time we sailed in Aqua Class, and while the smaller dining room is nice & Blu, gave us access to two menus (Blu and Main), we do not feel the extra cost of Aqua class was merited. This ship is in need of an upgrade. We were Aqua class so had access to Blu restaurant. The staff were excellent but the food somewhat disappointing, repetative and the vegetables for the whole 2 weeks were the same - carrots, cauliflour! The self service restaurant was dreadful. Chose this cruise because it visited a lot of cities I have on my to do list. But sadly this is like a hospital ship. Brothel red style rooms, hospital food (really really bad) and zero energy. Travelers of a certain age, which is the majority, seem to enjoy this hospital/nursing home ship, but if you are not 70+ yet i suggest you avoid at all costs.

We have predominately sailed with Cunard but after our fantastic experience with Celebrity we are moving to this cruise line from now on.Every aspect with Celebrity was amazing from the service to the food to the cabin it was faultless.We have cruised with Cunard (Carnival 30 times and the quality and service as plummeted across the entire carnival fleet)
