Loved this room! The balcony was HUGE - wrapped around the aft and port sides - had 4 chairs and one lounge chair. A few minor downsides to the room were: 1) debris did blow off upper deck - used matches and cereal (bran flakes?) rained on us a bit. I'm assuming is was debris and not intentionally thrown since I couldn't see anyone above us at the time. 2) when showering, there was an odor from the drains in the floor and water was visibly backing up from the drain. We just took quicker showers. 3) you're on opposite end of Atlantis Dining Room, which I'm sure is done on purpose to get you to walk through the casino and other areas. It can be tricky finding it at first.

We Want to Go Again teriwinkle

We were very happy with our cabins (8433 & 8427, which allowed us to share huge balconies, and 8431, an interior across from them). This was a very quiet corner even though it was right under the "lido" deck 9. We heard no chairs scraping or noise from the crew stairwell between our cabins. We could hear music from deck 9 at certain times and smell burgers grilling (not a bad thing!). The cabins were spacious with adequate storage and the beds comfortable. Air conditioning is controlled manually the old-fashioned way using ceiling vents but works just fine. Leather couches very nice. Table and chairs much appreciated. TV channels extremely limited. Only news is CNN. FOX NEWS followers will be out of the loop as we were. At times we could feel quite a bit of engine vibration but we don't mind that. I asked my husband at one point to stop putting quarters in the bed. Some few older readers will understand that joke. Stateroom service was outstanding.

We booked a port side premium extended balcony on the Verandah Deck (Deck 8 - Cabin 8428) and man did they mean premium. The fantail balconies are huge on Carnival's ships but those on the back corner are enormous with the largest two being one either side of the end of deck 8. The cabin itself was roomy with a queen bed, large couch, plenty of closet space, drawer space and a bathroom not too large but not too small (got spoiled at the Hilton) but the balcony had more square footage than the room itself which proved fine by us as we spent much time there luxuriating in the view and the peaceful haven it gave on a ship with over 2000 people aboard.

Great balcony with fantastic views (minus all of the trash people threw over). Pretty noticeable vibrations when docking, but it didn't bother us. Room was a decent size (much larger than others). Hallway was noisy, but we will attribute that to obnoxious people.
