The most annoying thing about this ship is the vents in the cabin doors. It allows you to hear everything going on out in the hallway.
Bathroom vanity was chipped and cracked, very old television, shower tiles cracked and grout missing and dirty.
The bed was comfortable.
There is NO Refrigerator!!!!
Couch is sideways, Only 1 end table for bed.
Safe only uses a credit card. No keypad
Shower kept going HOT and COLD after a few minutes of use.
Good central location. Heard nothing from above but that darned door vent drove us nuts!! We put our suitcase in front off the door with a towel on it the openend all the closet doors to block the sound.
AC control is a simple lever on the exhaust vent on the ceiling. I liked it's simplicity.

We had a balcony cabin on the Lido deck. I was a little worried that it would be noisy. I was surprised at how quiet it was. You could not hear any noise from the pool and it was convenient to everything. I will definitely be booking Lido cabins in the future! As far as the room goes, it looked like a typical Carnival cabin. A little outdated, but sufficient. A couple of complaints about the cabin. There is no fridge, no ice bucket, and the normally overflowing amenities basket in the bathroom stayed empty. Also, the room had an old-fashioned TV with a horrible picture, but who cruise to sit in the cabin and watch TV?

I think our room was directly below one of the kitchens of the Mediterranean Dining room, as we could hear what sounded like carts rolling back and forth above us until about 1 am every night.

cabin 8331. Location great. However, scrapping of chairs above you all thru the day and night above you. Room dirty, dated. SHower mildew and mold.

Cabin 8363, plenty of room with lots of storage. Show needs re tiling in both of the rooms we had (8365). Other than that the room was good and comfortable. Location was very good, up one stairs and we were on lido deck aft. Dining, pool and bar. Heard no excessive noise from the ship.

Cabin 8356. No good. Too noisy from equipment room and pantry across the hall. The cabin itself was nice. Nice balcony on deck 8, but way too much noise. They woke me up each day at 5:00AM.

The cabin we had on Lido Deck was a 8D balcony and it looked pretty much the same as all the other balcony cabins we've had on Carnival. Only difference was that since this shop was older there were some things that are not as up-to-date as other ships but everything worked fine. The bathroom was older looking (tiles, hair dryer, etc) the TVs had no interactive menus on them which we missed, and there was no refrigerator in the room like we've had on other ships.

Great location. One level below Lido deck. Staff worked hard to keep clean and it showed.

The interior of the cabin was pretty dated and there was no fridge (they did bring a little portable one for my husband's insulin.) The balcony was okay but there was no table, just 2 chairs. I had a difficulty parking my scooter and getting it through the door, but Carnival's handicapped cabins are even smaller and have no place whatsoever to park your scooter, so it's what it is. The beds are good and if I had to be in bed for a week, better on a cruise ship than my bed at home! The bathroom left a great deal to be desired. There was mold and it wasn't as clean as I'd come to expect. They don't pick up your room service dishes unless you leave them outside your door.

Cabin 8265 - Great location for minimizing swells. Directly across from the atrium aft elevator. Issues - Number 1 issue is NO REFRIGERATOR. When I called the service desk, I was told that this ship did not include them in balcony cabins. There were a few available for medical purposes, but they had to be reserved ahead of time. All of my previous cruises were in balcony cabins with a refrigerator. Made due with an over-sized bucket filled with ice. Paid tips to room steward daily to keep it filled. - Hinge on cabinet door was broken. Repaired after three days. - Remote control for TV not working. Turned in for repair, and never saw it again. - Switch for air-conditioner was hard to find, and no instructions. - Location of bed was away from the walled mirrors. - No tie-back for curtain to maximize daylight into the cabin. - TV was very old and out-dated, thus took up a lot of room on the shelf. A flat-screen model would enhance the cabin and provide additional shelving space. - Evening bed chocolates were awful. Cheap-tasting and waxy. (Celebrity uses Lindt chocolates that are awesome!) They shouldn't even bother, if they aren't going to get something better. Positives - Location with regard to elevators, daily trips to shore, ship movement, and muster station. - Minimal noise from elevators, floor above, or floor below. - Debarkation number was 8 (out of 25). - Balcony and two chairs with small table was sufficient. - Privacy barrier on poles and between the balcony wall spaces was very good, allowing for comfort and freedom to enjoy it. - Bathroom shower size was sufficient and well-stocked with towels daily. - Bed was comfortable, pillows needed to be doubled up. - Towel animals were varied nightly and entertaining. - Room stewards were friendly and attentive. I rate this cabin a 3.5 out of 5. The easy improvements to bring it to a 5 are: #1 - refrigerator, #2 - TV upgrade, #3 - Bed location to mirrors, and #4 - Evening chocolates.

We were on deck 8, just below the Lido buffet restaurant. Others with whom we spoke, that also had deck 8 cabins, agreed it was often noisy during sleep hours. Deck 6 cabins are just above the very public deck 5. So Deck 7 would be the ideal choice for a balcony cabin. Our room was otherwise decent in size, great for storage and featured an above average bathroom.

Too noisy. Absolutely miserable. Got no sleep the entire week because of the constant scraping of chairs across the deck above us. Horrible location.

Cabins 8319 and 8323 are both under the Lido Deck and are very noisy from folks moving chairs and tables accross the floor above the rooms. We could not get to sleep until early in the morning when almost everyone went to bed.

the "State room with balcony" was the smallest ive ever experienced, and the decor and carpet remind me of my grandmothers house 20 years ago. The bathrooms remind me of those found on a greyhound bus with thinner toilet paper.

Close to laundry, pool, elevators, lido deck buffet. No mini fridge. Lots of storage space. Balconies can be opened, but are limited to removing the separator for two rooms.

Nice balcony. Lot's of noise from the Lido deck through the ceiling though at eating time for the buffet.

Great closet space. Lots of storage under the TV, but if they add refrigerators that will probably go away. You can hear the hair dryer from the cabin on either side, when it is turned on. Being on the Lido deck means that the hallway is not long enough for young children to run a race in, so it is alot quieter!

Room #9234 Lido Deck - Nice size, great location (we didn't hear any noise from the lido area or either floor above or below us!) - and best of all, right down from the food!! We were able to just get dressed and walked right out to the buffet area, very convenient! Balcony was great, and the room was clean and quiet! Our favorite room so far on Carnival!

Great location-not too close to the stairs/elevator, but close enough for it not to be a long walk. The 8th floor if great because the Lido deck to only one flight away. The kids club was on also close by on 11. Lots of space and plenty of storage.

Great view, some noise during the day from a cleaning area above, but nothing too bad. Great cabin overall.

Great location. Can see into bridge which we liked, so if you want an undisrupted view forward, don't book forward on deck 8. Nice balcony. No hallway traffic. Very few hangers but lots of closet and extra storage space.

Loved the cabin, far enough away from the elevator and high enough on the ship to be quiet. We could hear the beat of the music from the Lido deck while on the balcony, but it wasn't obtrusive.
