Love Carnival ... fun cruises even for two old 'fogies'! Our third trip to Alaska and we never tire of the beauty. The weather was great on the first cruise after the winter months (70 during the day ... 45 in the evenings.) Food and Entertainment was great ... even had my wife on the stage doing the disco! I am 'legally blind' and Carnival management makes certain that I am comfortable at all ...
We booked this for a "cheap & cheerful" break, and after reading criticisms of this ship we were pleasantly surprised.
Embarkation was quick and easy, less than half an hour from luggage pick-up through security, US customs, check in and on board. Met by welcome personnel on board to answer any questions.
Ship is dies not quite have the luxury finish of Cunard or as pristine as HAL but ...
Carnival Legend. What can I say?
Decor: Tacky.
Food: Average at best (had me wishing I could be at home to cook my own meals).
Entertainment: Average to Decent. Musicals were OK, but did not appreciate the juggler joking about his "balls". Funny the first time. Crude and annoying by the tenth joke. Trivia games were trivial, but really the only things that could alleviate the boredom ...
Mother and Son 8 day Alaska Cruise
I fell in love with this ship after sailing on it for 13days to Panama Canal. Love the layout and found it be small and cozy ship. This is a mother and son cruise. This cruise embarks in Vancouver and ends in Seattle. Since, we has never been to both cities, we plan a round trip air for Seattle. My plans were to spend a day in Seattle and one day in Vancouver ...
We travelled as a family group of 10 (all balcony cabins) from Vancouver. Prior to the cruise we had just finished an excellent Canadian Rockies trip from Calgary to Vancouver with great weather all through. We were all eagerly looking forward to the cruise as it would give us a chance to see some great sights in a relaxing environment. We had seen some awesome sights during the 8 day Rockies tour ...
This was cruise number 12 on Carnival for me. We flew in 2 days early, spent 1 night in Seattle at the Hampton Inn by the Space Needle and then took Amtrak to Vancouver for 1 night staying at the Ramada Limited on West Pender Street. Loved the train ride up, very scenic and saw many eagles along the way.
Vancouver was nice to walk around and see, we enjoyed the Gastown area.
Embarkation ...
Once again carnival surpassed my expectations by far making this one of the best cruises I have been on out of the 16 cruises I have sailed on.
We travelled from London to Vancouver on Virgin Atlantic which was a very pleasant flight with great service. Highly recommended. On reaching Vancouver we took a cab to executive vintage hotel near gas town for a one night stay. We got to hotel around ...
Enjoyed a relaxing 16 day repositioning cruise from Vancouver, BC around Hawaii and back to Long Beach, Ca. Cruised with 3 other couples, all 60's - early 70's - the median age of passengers was 65, so we were happy to fit the profile. Best of all, the ship wasn't overrun with unruly brats or drunks! Mostly fit, happy retirees - a number of whom were from Canada and the UK. We had not been to ...
My husband and I had a great cruise meeting many wonderful people from all over the US, Canada and Europe. The Miracle is an older ship and has a few rough spots but looked clean and neat all over the ship. Our cabin (7202) boasts an extended balcony which was lovely but due to the location, blocked a bit of the view looking forward. Our steward, (Barwana) was attentive and excellent. With 10 sea ...
I've noted several other recent Miracle cruisers recently posting about the ship's propulsion issues, and felt obliged to post what I know.
We had a marvelous two week cruise to Hawaii this past September. As we booked AFTER the formal announcement by Carnival (which I found weeks after I'd booked anyway), we didn't get offered any partial refunds or other compensation - but the iteniary had been ...
