We only took this cruise as our relatives from England had booked it and we wanted to surprise them. we saw our room stewart twice. I accidently got locked out of our room one morning and no one was in the hall for over an hour to let me in. Our phone was out of service one night I was with my 82 year old mother and she has health issues so we needed a phone I went to the front desk around 5 pm ...

Relaxing, but Some Disappointments

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival Legend

I chose the cruise because I have never been to Hawaii and the repositioning cruise seemed like a great way to go. Embarkation & disembarkation was smooth. I have no problem with the ship; I have sailed on the Legend before and the cabins are about the same on all Carnival ships. The trip was very easy going with 5 sea days to relax and there were many activities going on. I had two ...

The best part of this cruise were the passengers. An older crowd, I found courteous, friendly, diverse, and very interesting. The ship itself was well decorated but clean enough. In the public areas I found dirty bathrooms. My cabin had areas that we had to remind the cabin steward to clean. I generally like to sit around the ship and listen to the live music. I did not find the choices much to my ...

We travelled to Hawaii from Vancouver, leaving Sept. 13, 2016. We were delighted with the entire cruise. We paid $1499 a person, and for this amount of money, where can you have 10 nights accommodation, all the food you can eat, entertainment, and amazing activities. I have cruised about 12 times, and I find Carnival a great value. Sometimes things can go off a bit, like excursions run late, ...

First time Carnival; reluctant to try a second.

We chose to take this cruise aboard Carnival simply because I enjoy cruising and my wife wanted to visit Hawaii. Leaving from Vancouver was convenient, since we are from Seattle. Getting though customs was relatively smooth. While waiting for or luggage we decided to review the ship. We were initially disappointed in the ship. We noticed not a lot of activities, other than sitting in the sun. ...

If you've never been, treat yourself and go to Alaska!!! It is so incredibly beautiful!!! It's just breath-taking!!! Make sure you have a lot of space on your memory stick on your camera or cell phone!!! We went on the first cruise of the 2016 Alaska cruise season on the Carnival Legend and cruised the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska. It was our second time on the Legend and ninth cruise with ...

Prefer Royal Caribbean over Carnival Legend

My husband and I went on this cruise to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. This was our first cruise on Carnival, we previously cruised on Royal Caribbean. We chose this cruise for it's itinerary which included the Tracy Arm Fjord and Glacier Bay. Our cabin was Oceanview Cabin 1164 mid-ship on Deck 1. For the most part it was a quiet cabin, except it must be located over some kind of ...

Great Weather, Great Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Carnival Legend

A once in a lifetime cruise, if only because we had fantastic weather nearly the entire time. It started out rough, as we experienced choppy seas on our journey from Vancouver to the beginning of the Inner Passage, to the point where we stumbled through the halls when walking. Our first stop, an excursion into Tracy Arm Fjord, had to be substituted with a trip into Endicott Arm, but a cloudy ...

My son, his wife and 2 children and I went on the Carnival Legend out of Vancouver to Alaska in May. This was my 2nd cruise to Alaska, and because I was paying for both rooms, I chose to go with a less expensive cruise line. (last cruise to Alaska was with Princess) I was surprised how much I enjoyed this cruise. The staff far exceeded any expectations I had. They were awesome, friendly, ...

Mini Review of our Alaska Cruise Aboard Carnival Legend

Only a mini-review We returned to Florida last night, (May 25, 2016), after spending an extra day in Seattle. My wife and I both agree that the "Alaska" portion of the cruise was completely excellent. It was everything you would expect it to be and more. We have a ton of memories from each port and from all 4 of our excursions. Of particular interest to us was the stop in Skagway. We can ...
