Cabin 1387

Awesome time on the Triumph By: Trumpetmouth
We loved this cabin. It has a nice window not a port hole. We choose it since our 6' 250# son who is a weight lifter was with us. The couch was great for him with a extra cushion on the top that our room steward IS (yes that's his name) provided. This room is rated for 4 people so the trundle under the bed was there but we didn't use it. I would choose another room just like this without the trundle so we could have put our luggage under the bed. As it was the luggage (three full size suitcases) fit in the closets. Quite area on deck 1. No noise from any other rooms. My son and I both are Big Guys and I don't understand people complaining about the showers. Neither him or I had any problem with room in the shower and I weigh more than he does.

Uninspiring By: UAVPilot
The cabin was pretty roomy on the whole, but, there is nowhere to store suitcases once they are emptied. "Climate control" consisted of a manual slide-controlled device on the ceiling that allowed or restricted air flow into the room. There was no control over the air temperature. The remote control for the TV was mostly unresponsive...several presses of channel numbers or "channel up/down" buttons were needed for the TV to respond to inputs. There were limited electrical outlets available for charging phones/computers. Thank goodness we have learned to bring 3-outlet adapters with us on travel and we had a couple of those which expanded charging capability. There were no outlets near the bed, which we are used to in regular hotels. There are no ice makers available on the deck...and, didn't think to bother the cabin attendant for ice.

Excellent room. It is next to attendants room so from time to time there was some noise of things being moved around, but no big deal. I like being right next to elevators and stairs in case of emergency. Steward did a great job on the room each day. Very happy.

Relaxation By: annielee50
The cabin was perfect! About 5 days before sailing, we received a call from Carnival stating the ship was not booked to capacity and we were offered an upgrade from an interior room to a window room. This was our first room with a window and I'm afraid we won't settle for anything less from now on. The room was spacious and very comfortable.

Beat Expectations! By: 01eyeguy
The very front of the ship. If you watched the TV and saw a white pole in the front of the ship, that pole was right in front of my room. Great view!

Cabin 7205
Sep 2013
We were in 7205, a forward facing ocean view (strangely, Carnival calls this an obstructed view). This room is laid out for people with disabilities / wheelchairs. The room has a strange triangular shape, so the 2 beds couldn't be put together. My wife and I felt like Lucy and Ricky Ricardo! After the lifeboat drill, we were offered a deck 2 interior if we wanted to change, but elected to stay in 7205.

Cabin 2319

Room 2319 was good size, had a couch and table that we enjoyed. A little sprucing up could have been used, especially the tile in the shower. Good location, mid ship, quiet.

Cabin 1412
Feb 2012
Cabin 1412 - A lot of engine noise but we got used to it for the most part. Coming into and leaving port, VERY noisy. A very comfortable room, quite clean. Spacious. Bathroom did flood one day, but plumber took care of it and then steward cleaned. Being at nearly the last cabin at the aft end, it was a long walk to the other end of the ship for anything taking place in the forward end of the ship.

Disappointment By: genbug2k
Handicapped room was large, had three closets for the two of us. Large bathroom by cruise ship standards. Somewhat noisy at times since we were at the very front of the ship. Awful odor in halls seemed to come out of employee access doors.

Cabin 1227
Feb 2011
Had Cabin 1227 on the riviera deck forward. The room had a large window, ample closet and drawer space for two travelers. The bed was two twin beds pushed together. The bed was pretty well worn with two troughs with a bump in the middle. We asked Lydia, our room steward, if there was an overlay available to us and she was able to round one up. This made the bed much more comfortable. The shower and bathroom was ample enough for us. The downside of this room is that it is noisy when coming into port with engine noise, vibrations, rumbling. If you are a heavy sleeper then this may not be an issue. For us, it was really loud. While at sea, there really was little noise to speak of except for some of the larger waves hitting against the hull of the ship - that did cause some strong vibrations.

Cabin 1411 low and in the aft - therefore very loud when the engines did anything significant. But we expected this.

Multiple closets, multiple drawers, underbed storage for suitcases. Very easy to unpack for the week. Triangular shower seems bigger than one of the newer ships. Central location.

A 6A room...Great balcony, great location on the spa deck, the washroom was very spacious considering your on a ship. Lots of closet space for your belongings. Super clean given the room stewards clean it 2 times a day! I would suggest given Carnival is making millions that they upgrade to flat panel TV's in each room as this would give you more space and a better picture, and I'm sure they could get a deal on them! I would suggest Carnival go smoke free in their cabins, my retired parents got stuck with a smoke infested room that required an ionizer treatment once a day for 4 days until it was a little bearable. They should of done something about it sooner so my parents didn't have to breath in those toxic smoke fumes!
