I have read many reviews in the past but this is the first one I have written. My family have cruised several times, all with Carnival, and I have read several reviews that are so negative that I felt the need to write my own. My husband and I chose this cruise as a way to celebrate his 50th birthday. We arrived in Tampa port and embarkation was a breeze. No problems at all. We had a balcony on ...
I am generally not one to write reviews but I read a few negative reviews about the Pride, specifically the crew that I felt compelled to put my 2 cents in.
I have been on 15 cruises (5 Carnival) and must say that the crew of the Pride is one of the friendliest of them all (Carnival cruises that is). Always smiling, greeting you as you pass by and just all around friendly.
The food was typical, ...
I thought the boarding process and embarkation in Tampa was pretty good. We really loved the new restaurants; Guys Burgers, Blue Iguana and especially the Sushi restaurant. Really liked the Red Frog Pub. I was surprised the EA Sports Bar was not very crowded the entire cruise (other than Super Bowl Sunday).
I was not as impressed with the food at David's Steak House. My wife really enjoyed her ...
We've cruised a total of 5 times, this being our 4th with Carnival. Our second time out of Tampa, also the second on a Spirit Class ship (last time was the Legend, on an identical itinerary). Overall, a very nice trip!
Embarkation: Tampa is a much smaller port than Miami, and that is not a bad thing, necessarily. The ships are smaller, and there are less of them. I believe Tampa can only ...
We have been on Carnival cruises in the past but specifically chose this particular cruise for the ports and the exotic western Caribbean. The ship embarked from Tampa and was scheduled to stop in Cozumel, Roatan, Belize and Costa Maya. We were very excited about exploring Roatan, Belize and Costa Maya, as we had been to Cozumel on several occasions. We stopped in Cozumel and Roatan as planned, ...
I traveled with my sister, her husband and my daughter. We have all cruised before on Carnival ships.
1. Do not stay in Stateroom 1194. If you are already assigned to this stateroom, change it. It is right over the gangway area and in the middle of the night, doors start slamming. I had to call Guest Service three nights. They did get the slamming to stop, but this ruined three nights sleep.
2. ...
I took my daughter and grand daughter on the 5 day cruise out of Tampa. We were celebrating my daughters 28th birthday. I had cruised twice before on the Paradise as the port is close to home. We had a very good time! The plus side was the friendly staff, the sit down meals, Camp Carnival for the four year old, and the entertainment. Our cruise director, Steve and his staff (Iman, Max and Steven) ...
After an exceptional cruise on the Carnival Sensation in 2012, we bought along our 23 year old daughter and her partner for a cruise on the Carnival Pride. The day after leaving, we hit rough seas and high winds that lasted the rest of the trip. Certainly don't want to blame Carnival for the weather; however our rooms up front (6115 and 6117) felt like a cork bobbing nonstop in the ocean. It was ...
This was our 2nd Carnival cruise. My husband and I do at least one cruise a year and decided to try Carnival one more time. We drove to Tampa and did a third party shuttle service to the port. Even though the port was crowded, the lines did run smoothly and we were only in line for about 10 mins total. We got on the ship and booked our spa appointment with no problem. When we booked the cruise, ...
Having only traveled on one other cruise line for several trips, this was my first experience from someone other than RC.although the staterooms were bigger and had larger bathrooms, the rooms were outdated. This was a smaller ship than what we have been used to but with our limited window of travel, this trip was our only choice. Our stateroom attendant Gregory, did a remarkable job for two ...
