We sailed out of Tampa on Thursday had a day at sea, Cozumel, and a day at sea. This, to us, is a perfect short getaway. Cozumel is, in our view, the best of the western Caribbean ports. They are well equipped, lots to do and very welcoming. The Paradise is an older ship, the last of the Fantasy class for Carnival, not too many balconies but well laid out. We had been on this ship a few years ...
It was my mine and my wife's birthdays and we decided, along with our adult daughter, to celebrate by taking our first cruise onboard the Carnival Paradise to Cozumel. From the moment we boarded in Tampa, until we were back in Tampa, we had nothing but a fantastic time. Our cabin was comfortable and the service received by the attendant was excellent. We did the early dining so we could enjoy ...
Bored this 5 night cruse to catch up with some old friends. Start with the good. Destiny Dining Room was excellent and meals were good, service was impeccable. Room was nothing special, like all cruise rooms it stunk like old urine. Entertainment was a bit better than expected for the ship. Deck 9 is a complete joke. Smoking in the Casino mades its way to the US Bar as well, it was disgusting and ...
Eight of us went on this cruise for fun and entertainment.
We will not go again on the Paradise. It is an older ship but that did not cause any problems. It was the lack of FUN.
Entertainment was non-existent on night 3 and 4. No bands, no piano, no shows and no comedian. The highlight was the newlywed game on day 3 and day 4 had a lame game of liar's.
There were very few activities ...
We were surprised to find a total lack of entertainment. Many lounge areas were empty. Lots of bored passengers walking around. The dancers did only two shows. The first one was a country western theme. The dancers were excellant. Did not care for country music. The cruise director did an amazing job playing the fiddle.! Sounded just liked Charlie Daniels doing "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" ...
If you like to drink non stop, this is the cruise for you, but I don't drink. There were many good things about the ship and crew. The ship and rooms were older, but kept very clean. The food was much better than average and our waiter went way beyond expected service. Now for the bad part. I have been on about 15 cruises and this ship had by far the worst entertainment or maybe a better ...
I recently got off the Carnival Paradise and everything was not up to expectations or what you'll think it is. On every deck there was at least two broken elevators. On lido deck (10 top) there was a sink with a out of service sign and it worked properly.
Our cabin E36 toliet didn't want to flush at times. You had to wait and press and then wait and press until it worked. When we first got ...
This was my 14th cruise - 5th on a Carnival ship. I received a free cruise voucher after a previous cruise in the Spring and decided to take advantage of it and treat myself to a mini vacation.
I knew that this ship was older and smaller than most of their other ships, but wanted to use Tampa as my departure point as I have kids in the area and could get in a visit with them as a bonus.
I ...
We, as a family, were looking forward to this cruise for months. it was my and my husband's first cruise. embarkation was easy. Our kids and grandkids have been on several cruises so they know the drill. we boarded and ate lunch on the lido deck, then on to our cabins to unpack. luggage was at our cabin by 3:30 and we unpacked and got ready for dinner. we had early dining in the elation ...
This was my 8th cruise. Previously, I had gone on a 3 day Carnival from Port Orlando to (ugh) Nassau…..but that was my first cruise and I did manage to have a lot of fun.
My second cruise was on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas, which was pretty nice.
The other five were on Holland America (HAL), and maybe I got spoiled by the great entertainment and classy treatment that HAL ...
