I got Salmonella poisoning on the Carnival Splendor; Carnival could care less.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Splendor

My family and I cruise once a year but I can honestly say after our experience on the Carnival Splendor last week, we will never cruise Carnival again, and maybe never cruise again. I can pinpoint the undercooked over-easy eggs I was served in the dining room on Saturday December 26th. I started having diarrhea within 2 hours. I did not report it to the cruise line because we were getting off ...

There were 14 of us all together and we had a great time on the Splendor..My daughter is a vegetarian so she felt the food could have been better** I actually enjoyed the food. The Pizza station could have been manned with more people to keep the line shorter. There was almost always a line..The Dining area for us in Gold Pearl we had 5 at our table and a seat was on the end of the table which was ...

It was my husband's 60th birthday. We traveled with 5 of our friends. We had a blast. The pizza was nasty! The burger joint was pretty good, but the hours were never regular. The food at the breakfast buffet was cold. I won over $300.00 on the Roulette wheel. Don't even play the Slots unless you have money to throw away. Dinner at the Black Pearl was very good. The staff on Deck 10 at the smoking ...

The crew wasn't as friendly as I've experienced before (the dining crew). My stateroom cleanup crew was great. When I had a question, guest services helped a lot. The embarkation took a little longer than usual, but debarkation was done in a timely manner. I enjoyed being on the ship because I was away from home, but the activities were very limited. I think the activity crew should consider ...

This was our second time this year we took a cruise on the Splendor. Our first cruise was mid March during spring break. Unless you are in your 20's skip spring break. We have been on 39 cruises. NCL, RCL, Holland and Princess. We booked the cruise for the new ports and the value. There were 19 people in our party - family and friends. We had a great time. Lido Deck- too loud you ...

Enjoyed the Splendor very much. It is a lot like the Conquest style ship but has a few nuances that the others don't. There is sooo much pink in the decor. My wife is legally blind and the crew was very good in helping her when I wasn't right there with her. Our room steward was very good kept ice in the room for her insulin at all times. Also saw that my daughter had brought along a ...

This was my husband and I's first cruise. We had researched quite a bit before we left, but we still learned a lot on this first time of what we like and don't like. In previous reviews, other posters had commented on the decor of the Splendor. When one poster mentioned the "pink everywhere" I had mentally prepared for the hot pink garishness of teen girls' bedroom pink. In contrast, the ...

we were on our 11th cruise, and this was one of the worse one we took ( we took the hurricane cruise on glory a few yrs ago) .Some of the staff did not care if the carts ran over your feet, when we said something they blew you off and laughed. Ordered a well done steak i think it came from the bilges could not cut or decide what it was. the next day we went to the rotissary, dishes were dirty we ...

Worst Cruise Ever

First the weather was terrible, can't blame Carnival for that. Embarkation was quick and easy. I've got to hand it to Norfolk they did a great job. This was my wife and I 14th cruise with Carnival but this was the worst ship we've been on there were 12 of us. The lay out was very different all the pool areas were located towards the back of the ship. They canceled evening shows. The comedy shows ...

This was my tenth or eleventh cruise. It was wonderful. It was a short cruise, 5 days, so we extended the vacation a bit by staying at the nearby Marriott the night before. Embarkation was well organized and the room was available right away. We were on the Verandah Deck (8) very close to the forward stairs, which we found to be a surprisingly quiet location. The stateroom was immaculate and ...
