We chose this cruise because it sounded so good with the new makeover and refurbishment.Well after a month in Singapore to do all the work I don’t know what happened because when we got on the ship was in poor condition, the interior looks a lot like an old run down casino in Freeman st Las Vargas .Problems started from the minute we arrived at Boarding,it took 3 hours to get on the ship then at ...
As a 59-60-year old couple we were not the target market for this cruise which is families with children. For many this is their annual holiday. Even so we still enjoyed ourselves. The ship itself is looking a bit dated now having launched in 2001. There have been refurbishments however the theme and cabin interiors are looking tired.
We opted for ‘Your Time Dining’. On the first and second ...
We were part of a large family group on this cruise.
The ship is well setup for families with teens and younger children, and being a holiday cruise there were lots of them - everywhere!
You have to keep in mind, Carnival is a 3 star cruise line, so don't expect the same level of service and amenity you might get with other " relatives" of the Carnival family.
However, it is definitely ...
The cruise was an amazing experience, everything about it was unreal.
Pros:
Getting onto and off the ship was a quick and easy process.
The ship and your rooms were always clean
The staff are ridiculously helpful and friendly
The food is amazing and you can have as much as you want (many different types.)
The Ship always had activities on to keep you entertained and the hosts ...
We found this cruise on the internet. Wanted something to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Special offer: Ocean view cabin for the price of an inside cabin. When we finally check, two days before we left, we found out that we were bumped up to a balcony. Went to guest services on the Splendor to ask who we should thank...... apparently the computer at Reservations. Over the moon! Every ...
We decided some months ago to go on Splendor's first cruise out of Sydney, mainly to meet some of the crew who have become friends after many cruises on Carnival Spirit and it was certainly great to catch up with them all.
Our first impressions were OMG, who designed this ship? Someone obviously obsessed with pink and doughnuts..oh and eggs in the ceilings of the main dining room. To say it is ...
End of year cruise to beautiful South Pacific. Mixed bag of thoughts for this ship.
Pros; Embarkation & disembarkation was very good, 130pm & 8am respectively.
Excursions to Isle of Pines were very expensive, $130 to Marine Reserve.
Decor throughout ship was very good although the low ceiling give a closed in feel.
Dining in Black Pearl My Time was done efficiently by Maitre D, ...
Our group consisted of an 82 yo, 60 yo, 56 yo, and 2 x 14 yo. We had 2 cabins. Embarkation was straight forward with no problems. Muster was a shambles. Our 2 cabins were split into different areas (was told families would be kept together) and could not see or hear the instructions clearly. The area had been painted and it wasn't dry so we all had big sticky grey paint clumps on our shoes. The ...
choose this one as it suited our budget, we could pay it off through flight centre and the dates worked for us. Being our 1st cruise we were extremely excited. My husband loved it, myself was a little disappointed.
1. on arrival on ship and sitting in the Lido area noticed the large windows were absolutely filthy, so looking outside to the blue waters was annoying.
2. Stage shows very ...
1. The crew were fantastic, Rai looked after our cabin really well and kept it nice and clean, Deck 9 Marian and Sukra were awesome, Marian was always flat out cleaning up and Sukra was very attentive in brining me drinks.
2. Cabin was a bit squishy in 1132 and hard for my mother to access with a disability and the wheel chair didn't fit.
3. The ship was beautiful.
4. The food on deck 9 ...
