Carnival San Juan Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Just returned from sep 29 departure. A great adventure but little time to relax with 5 ports. I'll try to be brief. Ship. Valor was typical carnival. Pleasant, clean with friendly staff. We've cruised 10+ times so we're not wowed by the illusions. Food. Breakfast at Rosie's buffet was identical each day. At lunch the Mongolian grill stir fry was great but we never found the sushi. We never ...

Not the Carnival we remembered

Minuses: Told to take our own luggage on board the ship to our cabin. Never met or saw our Cabin Steward. Our room was dirty for the first 3 days. Used band aid and hair on balcony. Furniture was old, carpeting soiled. It was only deep cleaned after we complained to the Head Purser but the room was still dirty. Lido deck area and Buffet Dining area was dirty with ground in filth under each table. ...

Embarkation Day: My husband and myself decided the Southern Caribbean would be the perfect place to spend our honeymoon. When we arrived in San Juan PR we headed straight to Pinones for some Alcapurria (deep fried heaven) before going to the Carnival Valor. We are Platinum status with Carnival and enjoyed our private check in. The first night on the ship was fantastic. The sail away deck party ...

Amazing Vacation!

From start to end, the cruise was amazing. My partner and I were looking to get away and see as much as possible with time constraints as she's a student and has a son back at home. While looking for dates and locations, this itinerary couldn't be beat! I have traveled previously on Princess before and this was my second cruise. My partner though, had never traveled like this before. Flying on ...

We are platinum members so we have some cruise experience. My wife is retired and I still work in education. This limits the time we can travel. We booked this cruise through Carnival and probably should have booked air through them. We paid $1000.00 for a round trip on Jet Blue. JFK to San Juan. We arrived at SJU on the 25th at 2 pm. We had a problem my wife needed a wheelchair and we waited 40 ...

This cruise was very nice, getting on board was super quick, cabins were ready at 1:30pm when we boarded. I had 2 bottles of wine in my carry on luggage and they let me go right through, also make sure you bring bottles of water as they are expensive on the ship. We didnt buy the wine package, selection is too restricted. We went by the bottle and was graet. You get better service also when you ...

We flew into SJU a day early and stayed at the Marriott Stellars Casino Hotel. It is a wonderful hotel. They upgraded our room to the 19th floor and we had a corner room with a balcony wrapped around out one window is a beautiful pool are and out another is the ocean. We slept with the doors opened and it was wonderful. We stayed around the hotel and San Juan is noisy and crowded but the hotel we ...

Carnival Valor Cruise, Southern Caribbean- July 7-14 Welcome to our cruise experience. Since I wanted way more information about the cruise before I boarded (ok, so Im a control freak!), I took notes to help future cruisers like me. Our perspectives are from Vegetarian, Bird-Loving Seniors. Would We Go Again? Absolutely! We loved the cruise. We loved the ship. The personnel were all friendly ...

Our Honeymoon Cruise  Carnival Valor – July 7, 2013  San Juan – St. Thomas – Barbados – St. Lucia – St. Kitts – St. Maarten – Puerto Rico When my husband Ryan and I were discussing where to go for our honeymoon we tossed around plenty of good (and bad) ideas. Should we go to an all-inclusive and sit on the beach for a week? Would it be better to travel Europe or go someplace exotic? All along, my ...

Hats off to great staff: Felipe (cruise director), Kristi/Andy/Erik in Washington Dining Table 311, and Andy in housekeeping. I have been on 24 cruises (all with Carnival, and dating back to 1995), and though I was just on Valor for NYE, we elected to return on the same ship (great cruise director, Felipe) solely for this new itinerary for Valor. Of all the ports of call, I had only visited St. ...
