We booked this cruise for our 20th anniversary. We originally had an Ocean View cabin reserved, but a couple months before embarkation, decided to get a Balcony on Lido instead. The process to change rooms was easy, but required a phone call.
The cabin was fresh and clean, if not a touch dated. There were a few patches of rust visible out on the balcony, understandable for a 16 year old ...
OMG, We booked cruise with two other couples who had picked the port near where they live, tampa. At the time I was very excited to go since we had not been on a cruise since Jan 2020. I had read a few reviews before hand, it was noted that the ship was upgraded in 2019. Well, not sure what was upgrade ( added the slides??) We were on the Empress deck with a balcony, the first thing we notice our ...
Our group of ten embarked upon what we thought would be a great NYE cruise experience, unfortunately this did not occur as the negatives outweighed the positives.
Positives where great staff in the restaurants, bars and our cabin attendant. Also the boarding and disembarking process efficient.
Negatives, the food quality in the main dining room was terrible. Actually, the buffet and smaller ...
My daughter paid for me but I loved this trip. Previous cruises were boring with nothing to do and just so you know I'm not fussy, The RC cruise I was on had three (3) people turn up for Bingo and my friend and I were 2 of those. same fro craft class. I was the only person who turned up.
On the Splendor I was spoilt for choices. The food was not super super fancy in the buffet but still ...
Mature couple - 3rd time cruisers - 1st time Carnival - filling in around the Holiday calendar.
Brief trip - affordable - nice break.
Passenger capacity seemed to be full - many family groups - we guessed at 20% young persons/children.
Ship's décor and aft-cabin suite are dated but, immaculately clean & tidy. Pleasant full staff.
Cannot review entertainment amenities or Main Dining as ...
TLDR: It looks like cruising is back to pre-covid standards - more or less.
Embarkation:
New Orleans is always a nightmare getting to the port. I realize this isn't under Carnival's direct control, but it seems like they'd have some power to get New Orleans to figure out some way to get this organized better. But once inside the terminal, things went smoothly and quickly.

We had a large group of 30 people taking part in this holiday cruise. First time sailing out of Baltimore, we found the cruise port/terminal to be very well run, organized and clean. The Embarkation process was seamless and took no more than 20 mins including security.
Once on board, our rooms were ready right away, we were able to set down our carry on luggage and make our way to the lunch ...
Overall, had a great time. Frequent Norwegian cruisers but choose Carnival based on exact sailing date and location.
Carnival better than Norwegian
- Embarkation: Fast, easy, and on ship less than 15 minutes. Keys waiting at room. no waiting in lines, giving credit card, checking in with passports ect
- Bar service: No waits, even at pools
- Dining service: Server knew our ...
I sailed on the Carnival Glory out of New Orleans, departing December 26, 2022.
I am not a snob, nor was this my first time cruising with Carnival. However, it will most certainly be the last. First things first, do not ever take a cruise out of New Orleans unless you are prepared to WALK , very long distances, in glassed-in corridors with the air conditioning turned off. The air conditioners ...
This review of our Carnival Christmas Cruise on the Breeze 12/24-29/2022. My wife and I booked our first Christmas Cruise. We have grown children with 4 grandchildren.
