We are experienced cruisers who enjoy being on the ship. This cruise was a quick trip to the Bahamas that was inexpensive. We are able to drive down to Port Canaveral in about three hours so it is convenient.

We got in on a special pricing deal. It was scheduled a year in advance. In the past, we have sailed on four different cruise lines and they were all special in there own way.
Literally my only complaint, through my bad choice, was our cabin location!! We were in the center of the rear of the ship. I felt every little swell in the water, wave due to wind, etc.

Carnival seems to be shooting themselves in the foot with their cutbacks - the staff shortages were evident on this cruise, and IMO affected the overall "experience".
We arrived at the port at our designated time, and the line went very quickly. We were on the ship within 45 minutes of arriving at the port.

Good itinerary - great weather - didn't realize this was a "gamblers' cruise" and we're not gamblers. I'm sure they enjoyed it. My husband and I sailed on the Carnival Sunshine in February 2017. This was our 4th Carnival cruise and 9th cruise overall. Was this our best cruise? Just of the Sunshine, great weather, great ship, great food, great shows.... However, the room service and upkeep of the cabin was not what we have had in the past 13 Carnival Cruises.

We have been avid cruisers since 1995, and have seen a steady decline in the way cruise ships operate, treat their passengers, and the passengers' comportment as well. Maybe this has resulted from "any time" or "freestyle" cruising, but regardless, you have to spend a lot more to get a quality cruise experience than Carnival offers. Where do I begin?
