Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Magic

Our first cruise was with family on the Carnival Sunshine in Oct. 2015, and I got hooked. My wife, not so much. Our second cruise was in early 2016 on an older ship with a different cruise line, bad room location, and a meh staff, and my wife did not like it. So I tried to make up for that with this cruise, our third overall cruise together. We were on the Lido deck in cabin 10248, our first ...

Disappointment in the way Carnival handled change because of hurricane.

Due to hurricane we were offered no credits of any kind. I understand carnival could not help weather, but we had already been to Roatan, Belize, etc twice within a year. Very disappointed in food items....quality and quantity both. Everywhere on the ship we went there were tremendously long lines. In our opinion it was very disorganized. We gave up several days trying to be seated in dining room, ...

We had a great time. The food was fine but after about 5 days it got old. Lunch at the Italian restaurant was very good. Guys burgers were fine but the fries were recooked and greasy. I did not care fore Guys BBQ-except the chicken which was great and the mac&cheese. The MDR took way too long. The shows were ok. The people were spectacular. I didn't get to go to the CC meet & mingle cuz it ...

Worst cruise ever

Pros: The room service and dining room service was exceptional. That was it. We have had great experiences on previous carnival cruises. I expected this one to be as good as our previous 4. It wasn't. We were re-routed to Mexico due to the hurricane damage. That was fine. We have been on this cruise before and took the opportunity to explore the ports more thoroughly. I am not an ...

Soooo, I have nothing to base this review on, as the only ships I've been on are a bunch of auto ferries, two Navy ships, and a ride to Catalina. That stated, my family and I had a pretty darn good time on the Magic in Oct 2017. Yep, due to the many hurricanes, our itinerary changed, but as I've never been to the Caribbean, it was all good. We went to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Costa Maya. ...

My husband and I chose this cruise as it was our first time cruising and we thought it would be a great test. We also took my 13 year old daughter. so first off the ship: The ship is lovely, a great size. There were many areas you could go to eat, drink or just relax. My one complaint if I had one would be that the pools were very small and not really big enough to accomodate the number of ...

After having cruised exclusively with RCCL on several different ships we decided to give Carnival a try on this short little get-away to Nassau. I can honestly say that we were not disappointed. They each have their own flavor and subtle differences but in the end it is a cruise. Embarkment: Faster-to-the-Fun is well worth it! Speedy and effortless check-in and boarding. Dining: The ...

An excellent short cruise

We selected this cruise to help my sister and her husband "practice" cruising with their kids for a longer cruise. It was short but a lot of fun! Embarkation was smooth-we had FTTF. We used Carnival's transfers to get from MCO to the ship. That went smoothly, although the bus's restroom was rather fragrant. The only issue I had was that apparently Carnival hadn't pinged my credit card on ...

3rd Cruise with Carnival, and Probably My Last

This was my 3rd time cruising with Carnival, and it will probably be my last. My first 2 cruises with Carnival were on the Paradise, and the Valor, and they were fantastic. The Liberty is supposed to be one of Carnival's better rated boats, so my expectations were up. Unfortunately, this was the worst cruise I have been on. My girlfriend and I were on the cruise for her cousin's wedding. This ...

After waiting with bated breath for weeks before my sailing, anxiously watching cruise after cruise on various ships get either prolonged, canceled or delayed and shortened,I finally got to cruise day. I have been on her sister ships the Conquest and Glory and loved them and was excited to try out the Liberty. Embarkation went really quickly and smoothly. I arrived at the port around 11:30 and ...
