The Carnival Splendor was sold to us as a "party ship"! Two comments:
1. It was definitely NOT a party ship. (We are not spring chickens but the majority of the passengers on board had difficulty keeping up)

This was my first real cruise on a large ship. It was enjoyable, I am glad I went.
What was best:
1) The accommodation were fine, although we had just a medium-priced cabin. The cabin steward Gede was especially pleasant and efficient. He was the only crew member who made an effort to remember our names.

We were on the 7 day Splendor to Canada/New England from NYC. This was our third time on the ship
Embarkation was very fast. We got to the port about 11:20 and were walking on the ship at 11:45. Self assist disembarkation was also quick. We didn't start leaving until 9:45 am and were off the ship and thru customs by 10:00 am.

We have never been on a cruise before as I thought we would be bored, I was so wrong. We had a wonderful time on the Carnival Splendour. The cabins are spotless and the staff were indeed splendid.

Hi! I just came back from this 9 day 8 night Bahamas cruise!! I had a fantabulouos time on the splendid splendor!! I enjoyed the 4 sea days and the 24 hour pizza station. At night, when the big screen movie is on, (Lido) you can get FREE popcorn!! Isn't that great or what?!

A small group of five was extremely disappointed with Carnival. The adage that you get what you pay for seems to be correct in our experience. We have traveled with RC, HA, and our favorite Norwegian. This cruise was our eighth.
