We were celebrating our 40th anniversary. I am in a wheelchair and was worried about being able to get around, no problems there. People were so nice and considerate. We didn't move around so much, as to stay out of people's way. When we booked the cruise, I read online that we could bring 2(750ml.) of wine onboard in our carry on luggage. We ended up having to check that bag, because it was too ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to experience New York City and leave on a cruise from the Manhattan cruise port. We also selected the Carnival line because we had not sailed with them for many year and wanted a new experience.
Every part of our cruise went smoothly from embarkation to disembarking. The only criticism of cruise was the port of Manhattan which was very congested and ...
The Carnival Sunshine was the only ship leaning NY City on tthe New Englanf/Canada. itinerary. I enjoyed the thermal suite, but it lacked a therapy pool. The inerior of the ship's layout was redesigned, and now has a layout similar to tne Carnival Splendor. Dinner in the dining room was always oold, but breakfast there was lovely, especially on the seaday brunches with filet mignon and eggs, and ...
After seeing some reviews on this ship we were a little hesitant to book this cruise. In the end, we trusted our experience with previous Carnival cruises and went for it, and we were glad we did! It could not have been any better.
The dining room staff was amazing and helped my fiance out with her need to be gluten free. The bar staff at the Alchemy were great! They were friendly, efficient ...
We traveled in a group of six adults. The cruise was very good. Embarkation and Debarkation was smooth and quick. Ship was a little confusing. Cabin was fine. Food was excellent. Service was excellent all over ship. Shows were great. The eight performers were outstanding. The first night (audience participation-no formal show) wasn't good. Comedians were hysterical, esp John DeCrosta. We've ...
I was very pleasantly surprised. We were on this ship for a 4th of July weekend trip and I really did not like the food, the noise, the crowds or much about the 4 days. However, it was like they redid everything. I don't have any complaints other than the machines in the casino were very tight and the usual of the casino being too smoky. The food was very good, the service excellent. We were ...
I won this cruise from a local casino. The ship is older but it has been refurbished. We were impressed with the cleanliness overall. There are several laundry facilities onboard which made ironing, washing and drying our own clothes much more affordable. Cruise staff were all very friendly, helpful and provided excellent service.
Food in the main dining room was better on some nights than ...
This was our 4th Carnival cruise, having previously been on the Conquest, Glory, and Freedom.
The Sunshine just doesn't hold up to those ships. As many have discussed, this ship really is too small for the amount of passengers. On port days you really don't notice as much, but on the sea days it becomes obvious. Certainly around things like lunch. There just isn't enough space for all the ...
This is my 6th cruise on Carnival and the worst thus far. When I researched the ship, it showed that is had been recently refurbished but the ship is quite old looking onboard compared to other ships. We had a balcony and the glass is so dirty/old you can't see clearly out of it. The only way to get a good view is to stand up on your balcony because if you sit down in your chairs, you still ...
Service was very good both from cabin steward, bar, dining room and Lido. Food was very good except I found that some food on Lido (pork chops, beef) seemed to be tough and may have been recycled. Entertainment staff was very good except we were not impressed with the main entertainment staff singing abilities. There was only one person - female (she was blond) that sang well. Dancing however ...
