Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Enjoyable cruise....minus the kid takeover of the pools

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

I booked this cruise because I wanted to cruise out of New Orleans. I was a bit nervous as I wanted a laid back vacation and our last Carnival Cruise quite a few years ago was just too much loud rap music and heavy drinking. I was happily surprised to find the music selections much better and the crowds less party-hearty. Embarkation went pretty quickly and we didn't wait very long before ...

We had a good group of people show up for our meet & Mingle, even the Cruise Director came for a visit and we received a free picture of our group. Don't hesitate to set up your Meet & Mingle Carnival supplied snacks and non alcohol drinks.... We had a bingo cruise game card and gave them out also had the 3x size people drawing for a free t-shirt. Santa # 2 won. We got to meet all the people we ...

Seemed like a nice time to take a cruise, boy was I clueless. Too too many kids taking up pools, hot tubs, running into people, screaming and running down hallways until 3am nightly. Party mommas do you know where in the hell your kids are at 12-3am. Several very rude kids, all but run u down. Had to ask for ice everyday. These people working on the ship worked non stop. They were so worn out, ...

Carnival is going downhill FAST

I used to love Carnival. Not the case anymore. This cruise, to put it politely, SUCKED. The service in the Scarlet Restaurant was non-existent. The service of the waiters and waitresses, non-existent. Trying to get a soft drink on this ship is like pulling teeth. No one pays attention to you unless you are an alcoholic. All the fun things happened while everyone was in Port, and the only thing ...

Love the Dream, but not the cabin!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Dream

We've cruised on the dream before, just not in a cabin on the front of the ship. Next time I'll be in the middle or aft. The overall cruise was good, but Carnival was a little off this time. This was probably due to the fact that the cruise prior to our cruise was a specialty cruise. Our departure time was 2 hours later than normal. It took longer to get our luggage, around 8 at night, and our fun ...

This was my second time on this ship, my husband's first. The Dream is very clean and there are many free food options. Guy's burgers located by the main pool has the best burgers of any ship or cruise line. Guy's was just added to this ship in February. Embarkation and debarkation went smoothly. The Port traffic in New Orleans is terrible on sailing day, so plan ahead for traffic delays. We would ...

Overall good but staff is stressed out. Wanna-be Platinums concerned...

Overall good trip, mostly in line with what we've experienced before on Carnival. We generally feel Carnival is the best value for the money and have been loyally working toward Platinum status for awhile now. Their staffing cuts have us concerned about the direction the line is heading to, however. Cuts were very noticeable on this cruise. Our room steward was lovely, always with a smile on ...

Getting On and Off the Ship: The new staggered embarkation process is a great idea. It certainly doesn't eliminate the lines but they were much shorter and faster moving than the last time we cruised. We were the last group to disembark and since our flight was later in the day we were in no hurry. Everything went smoothly and we relaxed on the Lido deck and had breakfast at the buffet while ...

The Dream was another dream vacation for our family. Our 17 year old son and nine year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed themselves again. We buy "Faster to the Fun" when we cruise and even with the staggered embarkation we are still feel it is a great value. We parked and we're on the ship within 20 minutes. No problems. The real value comes in ports and when it is time to go home you are first ...

Exactly What I Wanted From a Carnival Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Let me start by setting the scene for anyone who reads this. This is my first review on this site, but not my first cruise with Carnival. I am a 28 year old man from Alabama, and I sail with my wife, Sara, who is 24. We have only sailed with Carnival, and based on our last three cruises with CCL, we will be hard-pressed to try another Cruise Line. We do a cruise every Spring Break, as my ...
