Shabby and dirty cabin

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Choose this cruise because it was in driving distance for all passengers. The food in the Scarlett dining room was very good and the service was excellent. Felt like royalty. The condition of the cabin was deplorable. Dirty, and many shopworn items or broken items. Also lack of activities. Either drink and eat or do nothing. Service in the Lido buffet was lacking. Asked for a soft drink with lunch ...

First cruise left me dreaming of more

This was our first cruise for my husband and I. We were excited and the Dream definitely surpassed our expectations. Embarkation and debarkation was a breeze. We had a balcony room which was spacious and always meticulously cleaned everyday. Our steward Calixso stopped by daily to check on us and ask if we needed anything, which we thought was great! We had a great mix of people on board. ...

It was our first cruise, and it won't be our last!

Our group of 10 (3 separate families) had a wonderful VACATION on the Carnival Dream! I capitalized the word VACATION because our cruise captured the essence of the word. There was no cooking, no cleaning, no cramped calendar to follow... It was fabulous. Each family in our group had different interests, so it was easy to separate and do what we wanted without feeling like we were leaving other ...

Another Great Cruise

I chose this because I live in New Orleans and is so convenient for me. I also wanted to go on the 7 day cruise and see different ports than just Cozumel and Progresso like I usually do. Once again we had a great cruise. Went to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. If you want something simple to do in Montego Bay, take the hop on hop off bus-only $20per person and takes you to some really neat ...

Carnival is going downhill FAST

I used to love Carnival. Not the case anymore. This cruise, to put it politely, SUCKED. The service in the Scarlet Restaurant was non-existent. The service of the waiters and waitresses, non-existent. Trying to get a soft drink on this ship is like pulling teeth. No one pays attention to you unless you are an alcoholic. All the fun things happened while everyone was in Port, and the only thing ...

We had a good group of people show up for our meet & Mingle, even the Cruise Director came for a visit and we received a free picture of our group. Don't hesitate to set up your Meet & Mingle Carnival supplied snacks and non alcohol drinks.... We had a bingo cruise game card and gave them out also had the 3x size people drawing for a free t-shirt. Santa # 2 won. We got to meet all the people we ...

Seemed like a nice time to take a cruise, boy was I clueless. Too too many kids taking up pools, hot tubs, running into people, screaming and running down hallways until 3am nightly. Party mommas do you know where in the hell your kids are at 12-3am. Several very rude kids, all but run u down. Had to ask for ice everyday. These people working on the ship worked non stop. They were so worn out, ...

DISAPPOINTED

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Both of us are in our EARLY 60' s. unfortunately it was April Spring break and the ship was overrun with children and young adults. The adult only area is small but nice, need to have two pools and more umbrellas. Also being that it was spring break they opened the adult pool up to the children as well! Impossible to get into the pool, did sit on the edge for a short ...

Date, price and ship. This was my 9th cruise on Carnival but never on the Dream. The ship was great, loved the new choices for lunch and dinner. Just wish the BBq places open more hours. It is only open on sea days from noon till 230. So made it really hard to plan to eat there. Love our cabin and all the crew members. We had the new American Table and I thought the food was great. Not having a ...

Carnival Dream Delivered!

It was a last minute whim; a trip to the beach for a week or a cruise. Easy choice, the cruise! We cruised out of New Orleans to Cozumel, Belize, and Roatan. Embarkation was not too bad. We arrived about 11:30 am amongst a fairly heavy crowd. Once we reached the top of the escalator and entered the line for Platinum and Diamond passengers (not being snotty, just saying it is a perk after 17 ...
