Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Cruising with a dishonest company!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Elation

We sailed on the Elation out of Mobile, Al on Jan 10-15, 2011 in hopes of going to Cozumel and Calica. Our ship was set to sail at 4:00 p.m., however, we did not depart until after 5:00 p.m. They made an announcement, saying the delay was due to a maintenance issue. The first night everything was as usual on a cruise, however, the second night we all heard a very loud crashing sound. The ship ...

We cruised Jan 6-10th from Mobile Alabama, We had two days at sea and one day in Cozumel. I will not complain about the weather as obviously that is not under Carnival's control, but two days at sea when the temperature is only in the late 50's makes in unpleasant to sit out on the deck. In fact it was too windy and down right cold to be on the top deck for anything other than a fast walk- ...

Elation was solidly satisfactory

Let me start by saying that for me, price sells ... my husband is 35 and I'm 26, so we don't have tons of disposable income to spend on cruising. We do, however, LOVE cruising, so we time our cruises so that we can get the best price. For example, our Jan. 6-10 family cruise on Carnival Elation was supposed to be scheduled so that it coincided with my brother's graduation from college, ...

I just cruised on the Elation to Cozumel and was scheduled to go to Calica. We arrived in Cazumel 6 hours late because of propulsion problems. This put us in around 2:00 pm instead of 8:00 am as scheduled. This gave only a few hours of daylight to enjoy the island. We were advised that since we arrived late that the time at port would be extended until 9:30 pm instead of 6 pm. Later we were told ...

Parking It was freezing cold as low as 29F at Mobile, AL when we got there around noon. We dropped our luggage at the terminal (make sure you print your luggage tags and have them stapled and ready) and proceeded to the parking structure. The terminal charges $15 per cruise night (not per the actual 24hr term) thus we paid $60 on entering the parking structure. Embarkation It ...

My family (Dad and his wife are 70 and 74 sons are 16 and 13)drove from snowy South Carolina to the Mobile port the day after Christmas. We booked a night at Admiral Semmes thru Expedia ($109 per night) and did park ($55) and cruise. We packed in the hotel shuttle and headed for the terminal at 11:15 am and we were on board in less than an hour. My Dad booked a suite (U88)and we could not board ...

This was my 8th cruise on Carnival, and my 3rd out of Mobile. The last two were on the Holiday. Although the ship was quite an upgrade to the previous ship sailing out of Mobile (Holiday), the service was lacking. On the day of embarkation, my party arrived and I had recently recovered from a broken ankle. I needed to Ice my ankle regularly, so I spoke to my cabin steward and asked that he give me ...

My husband and I have been wanting to cruise for a long time, and so about a month and a half out - we booked our cruise. Our neighbors love to cruise and when they found out we were going through Carnival - they told us we were going to be disappointed. Then, after reading some of the reviews, we were so apprehensive about our cruise. We never should have worried. The cruise exceeded our ...

We are from MO and had a 11 hour drive to get to Mobile, AL for our cruise. This was our second cruise with Carnival. The Elation was a smaller boat than the Conquest we took in Jan 2010. The only problem when we were trying to embark on the ship and trying to get into the parking garage. That was a huge headache. Once we got inside it was a breeze getting onto the boat. The lines moved fast. It ...

Not Elated about Elation

Our room was always clean and the cabin staff were exceptional. The bed is pretty hard, but it was comfortable. Cruise food should be better than it was on the Elation. The food in the dining room was served mostly warm/cold with the exception of the Caesar salad which was served warm/hot. The waiters were pretty poor and did a lot of ignoring of customers. My sister in law had to walk up ...
