Did not meet our expectations - What happened?

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Splendor

The itinerary was the reason for booking this particular cruise. Aruba is on my bucket list, and I was in dire need of a vacation. Coming from Montana, we took the red eye (affordability factor) and flew in a day early. We were fortunate enough to spend time with some family that live in Florida, and enjoyed the sights, sounds and tastes of Miami Beach. We chose the Sleep Inn, on Fairway ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Sensation

Overall, we enjoy this ship. It is a smaller ship in the fleet but it is easy to get around. This is the third time I have sailed on Sensation and have been pleased with it every time. If you are looking for the biggest, best, and newer things this is not the ship for you. This time around the ship was full but it never felt crowded. The wait for the buffet was never long. The dining room staff ...

I chose this cruise based on price and destination. I am not a big fan of Carnival because the boats are smashed full of people. However, I will say that Carnival keeps people returning based on price and delicious food. That is why I keep coming back to them over and over. It's like an addiction, I guess. The staff on Carnival have always been friendly. This cruise to the Bahamas is really ...

First Cruise....Horrible Experience

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Sensation

First Time Cruiser • Age 30s

This was my husbands and mine first cruise and first vacation alone together after 12 years. The cruise ship smelled horrible like sewage .The food was absolutely horrible. We pretty much lived off of scrambled eggs and ice cream for 5 days. At the formal dining night the table next to us sent their food back. Meanwhile my husband had received his food which he had sent back and I was still ...

My wife and I surpassed the 100 cruise day mark on this cruise, and are Platinum members with Carnival. For the last few years every time we have cruised Carnival they have discontinued small things that separate the top of the line company from we just want your money company. First no mints on your pillow, second no condiments package. Then no linen and proper place setting in the main dining ...

GREAT SHIP

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Splendor

The Splendor was great. Beautiful ship, very clean. Balcony room was very spacious, with lots of storage. Bed was more comfy than ours at home. Room steward was the best we have ever had, and went above and beyond to make it our home away from home. He always greeted us by name, whenever he saw us. Food was also great, and the dining staff were awesome. We really enjoyed the Brunch on seadays. ...

Noticeable Decrease of Quality on Carnival Splendor

We have sailed Carnival a few times and we wanted to try Splendor for her thermal suite/t-pool. I am happy to say that we completely enjoyed the Thermal Suite in the spa - temperature was probably a little too warm for me, but my husband loved the soothing heat. This was the highlight of our trip. We noticed, overall, things have "gone downhill" from what we experienced on our last ...

Carnival Glory: not its finest hour!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Glory

User Avatar

We have sailed on Glory three times over last 5 years and just returned from what I know will be the last. We love the itinerary as we are snorkelers and this is one of the best cruises for that. And the weather cooperated so all should have been great and on the past 2 trips it was everything we hoped and paid for. This time it barely met expectations. Price was slightly higher than 2 years ago ...

Carnival Glory Halloween Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Carnival Glory

We love doing the Halloween cruises when possible. This was our 3rd Halloween cruise. We always dress up and join in the fun! We were on Deck 8 aft, which is our favorite spots. It was our 1st time on the Glory and we liked the ship. The service and food in the MDR was great. Room service was always a little slow. We liked most of the shows and loved the comedy club. Our room steward was really ...
