I have to admit at first I was not ecstatic about going on Carnival. But when it came time to book a New Year's cruise for my wife and 2 kids the itinerary and price where hard to pass up so we figured why not.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The ship was nice, clean and not too small or too large. After about a day or so I knew where everything was the best ...
Been on 3 previous cruises because my girlfriend and I like the amount of travel to cost.
Over crowded boat, so get ready for lines everywhere.
Staff is not trained in service or etiquette except for a few (Alchemy Bar).
Food is mediocre at best.
Comedy shows were good.
Stage shows were not.
Cruise director Excellent.
Out of 18 people, 9 are still sick out of our ...
My wife & I. Are diamond carnival cruisers (47) & took our son , daughter in law , & grandson for a New Years cruise. We paid more than average for the newest ship & got less. Less service for one ....the dinning room waiters on average serve 30-40 people per seating. The dinning experience in general was sub standard for cruising ....poor food quality & choice. Oh & the dinning room a Walmart ...
I have cruised before with Carnival and other cruise lines.
Cons:
- I feel our before cruises have been better than this because dining. They don't offer much variety of meats and salads at main dining every night.
- We never had the elegant night diner with the captain and crews. We always had in the past.
- Our 13 yo daughter disliked Club C activities. She felt they were very ...
Our flight was delayed getting in to Miami and we called Carnival to notify them.
As a result, they were ready for us when we arrived which was a relief!
It was a 40th anniversary trip that left on Dec. 26.
We visited four ports and our favorite was Aruba to which we would return.
We enjoyed visiting the other three ports we saw as wall.
The food and service were great.
The ...
We sailed from December 26th to January 3rd, 2017. The route was Turk Caicos, La Romana, Aruba and Curazao. This was fine. But:
1- Poor meal variety
2- No a great quality of shows
3- The new year's eve was boring. The music stopped just at 12:30 AM in the main lobby.
4- They didn't honored the program and activities planned at some night clubs, for example, on December 31st, it was ...
We arrived in NYC from JFK air port with out any trouble and the gentleman that picked us up at the airport drove us thru time square and on to our hotel that was close to the port where we were to board the splendor ( several guests I spoke to aptly nicknamed the ship the "spinchter "). The process of getting on the ship was fairy easy if you like long lines and being photographed. We finally ...
Spur of the moment, affordable, liked the destinations.Lines for everything, food on par with golden corral or old country buffet, dining room had some good meals but nothing special.crew was great shows were good. The hot tubs and pools were always crowded or in one case a young couple were appearing to be having sex in it.The ship was full and there were lines for everything. It was Christmas week and ...
Do not, repeat, do not cruise with Carnival cruise line! They have horrible customer service. We experienced a number problems onboard and at the ports, such as yellow water from the faucet in the bathroom and sitting in the dining room for 2 hours and never receiving our food from the waiter on Christmas of all days. I was told that the only compensation I could receive was a bon voyage gift on ...
Embarkation/Disembarkation both were a breeze. We arrived and since we had booked a suite, had priority. Our cabin was ready by 12;30 as promised.
Predrag our Cabin attendant was spectacular. He met us as we entered our cabin, and when we needed extra foam for the couch-bed, he gladly executed. We had a Balcony Suite on Deck 7 FWD. Our usual location just in case rough weather, it is a ...
