Overall, our trip was average. Great weather, some decent ports, and had a good time mostly. Let me start with the positive - we found the platinum diningroom staff to be friendly and helpful. Our waiter learned our names on Day 1 and made us feel very welcomed each night. Our favorite was our drink server, who made himself known by a simple "yoohoo" shoutout. On the last day, he went to each ...
We cruise about once a year and many of our cruises have been with Carnival. This cruise was a truly disappointing experience. We traveled with my parents so there were four of us in a Grand Suite. The room size and location was perfect for us. However the room itself was not up to the standard of a suite or even a regular cabin. There was dust/dirt covering the trim above the desk mirrors and on ...
We take an annual February cruise since it is our son's winter break from school. This was our 5th carnival cruise and 8th overall. It was also our very worst cruise experience. This ship, was going into a two week dry dock after our cruise which no one was informed about. We were also not informed that the aft pool and only slide would be out of commission and be worked on while we sailed. They ...
We have been on 1/2 of Carnival's fleet, from Paradise to Breeze, all shapes and sizes. This ship is awkward. The option to retract the roof ruins the 11th floor view. You can't see the Lido pool area due to the drive mechanism. Random areas of the ship give off a raw sewage odor. Even outside areas. I intended to call this review "Carnival Get This Turd Out of Your Fleet".
Embarkation ...
This was my 10th cruise, third time with Carnival; cruised with RCCL over 10 years ago. Traveling with high school classmates! Explored port city before and after cruise, Miami. Embarkation went smoothly. Debarkation in Miami was slow but better than New Orleans. Balcony cabin was nice. Dining....well I was not impressed with the new menu in main dining room. Did not care for anytime ...
This was the first cruise that my husband and I have taken that was just the two of us. We did not bring our kids or any friends along this time. We wanted to do this Itinerary because we are both certified scuba divers and wanted to dive in St. Thomas and Grand Turk. We had room 1104 which is a spa balcony and it was worth every penny. We had enough space for the two of us and loved being up ...
Carnival check in at Miami airport was great, after we finished,we just took the shuttle to the port and went thru security. Around 1pm our cabin was ready, our Stewart was so friendly and knew us by name. We had a small issue with the toilet, he fixed it right away. We love the black pearl restaurant, great service and food. the day entertainment was ok but the night shows were great!. In ...
We choose this cruise because w/love the ports and it was also our first cruise on this ship. We flew from La Crosse, WI. to Miami on 2/11/17. We stayed the night before our cruise at the Embassy Suites Airport in Miami. We have stayed there many times in the past. We also stayed there one night after the cruise so we could delay our return by one day back to Wisconsin in the winter. We took a cab ...
The ship was huge and awesome. The staff unbelievable and sweet. The food and drinks were well made and unlimited. Only trouble was that the ship was overbooked and there were lines for everything. The poor staff could not keep up with how many people were on board and there wasn't enough room for us all. Entertainment wasn't my favorite. The comedians were good, but nightly show was just okay. ...
Chose Carnival because we were taking our 2 grandkids ages 6 and 9. I made them go to kids camp. Then we had a hard time getting them to do anything else. They LOVED it. And they had told me that they were not going to go to camp. The camp staff is awesome, really caring and could keep all the kiddos in control.
The crew was professional and happy (except bartenders). But I certainly ...
