Epicurean nightmare

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Paradise

Having only traveled on one other cruise line for several trips, this was my first experience from someone other than RC.although the staterooms were bigger and had larger bathrooms, the rooms were outdated. This was a smaller ship than what we have been used to but with our limited window of travel, this trip was our only choice. Our stateroom attendant Gregory, did a remarkable job for two ...

left late for most excursions. did three total at a pretty big cost thru carnival ship.Dolphin swim, Sting Ray swim and ..well..was supposed to swim with turtles. Always waiting on others, and not keeping with the scheduled times..got cut short on my Grand Camen turtle swim..'not enough time to get in the water with them'. Cruise had elevator problems 1st and third days. Jacuzzi broken for 2 ...

Was aboard the paradise from Tampa to Cozamel and back to Tampa FL in Jan 2015. Compared to other cruises we have been on, this boat was smaller but have to admit the cabins were same comparable size. the food was the usual for cruise food, - dining room was very good. It was relaxing and we had a good time. Shows were very good and the cruise director was great. He was in one of the shows - ...

Amazing Family and Friends Vacation

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Miracle

I was VERY worried after booking our cruise. I read many scathing reviews of Carnival Miracle. Prior to departing my mother-in-law (a seasoned cruiser) told me "you will only have as much fun as you want to have." Truer words were never spoken. I saw people on the ship complaining about ridiculous things. The truth is that it wasn't 100% perfect, but it was absolutely amazing. It was worth every ...

Disappointing with some excellent areas

We traveled out of New Orleans to Cozumel, Honduras and Belize. The ship was beautiful although the dining rooms were garish with too much red used in the decorating. We had an ocean suite, and it was lovely. Loved the oversized balcony. Unfortunately, the guest in the next room used his balcony as a smoking lounge which detracted from our enjoyment. Our room steward was outstanding! The food ...

PROS: Watching the whales while cruising to Mexico; Excellent dining experience at the steakhouse--worth the extra cost. enjoyed the Adult serenity area; Good room service; CONS: Bacon had a strange leathery appearance, the lobster was undercooked. And food at the dining room was not the quality I expected. Eggs were burned and the bacon was not fresh with a strange tast in the dining ...

This was our first cruise and I treated my wife to a cruise to Hawaii for our 25th wedding anniversary. Upon our arrival and departure from Long Beach, we stayed in the Renaissance and took a short taxi ride over to the terminal. We arrived around 1230 and after dropping off our luggage we went through security. We took the obligatory photo and preceded to our room. Believe it or not but the ...

After reading many reviews lambasting Carnival for their shoddy em/de barkation procedures and abysmal tender offload in Cabo, we were a little concerned about what to expect. Perhaps we set our expectations really low but we were pleasantly surprised by the cruise and their procedures, in our experience most of the problems were caused by inconsiderate tourons. Embarkation Arrived at the port ...

My family and I were very excited to take a cruise that we’d been planning and looking forward to for almost a year. When the day of the trip finally arrived, everyone was excited as we climbed into two large Super Shuttle vans to take the 14 of us to Long Beach Harbor. Unfortunately, only one of our vans made it to the ship on time as the driver of the other van went to the wrong harbor. We ...

Not a bad cruise but probably last cruise with Carnival

This was my 18th cruise on Carnival and DH 17th. We are Platinum and always book suites. The cruise did not start out well. They could not print our sail and sign cards at the Captain's Lounge. This would not have been a problem except this was the 3rd time in a row we have had this problem upon embarkation in Long Beach. We had an aft suite. We have had the same suite on every Spirit class ship. ...
