Predictably good time: more relaxing, less adventure

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Miracle

My wife, teenage son and I sailed on the March 21 Carnival Miracle. It was the first cruise for the Miracle after a two-week refurbishment. Other than a few minor annoyances, we had a great time, as usual. Our 20 year old daughter stayed home because her university classes were still in session. This trip differed from our usual cruise vacations in that it was intended as a very ...

Spring Break Cruise

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Elation

I went into my first cruise with extremely low expectations. It was my final college Spring Break week; I figured it would be mediocre, the food would probably stink and just overall be a cheap cruise. The boat is on the older side of their fleet but other than that I was completely wrong. The Carnival Elation staff was awesome. The first day I went to the dining hall and asked a crew member ...

We chose this cruise because it gave us a chance to get away from snow and cold and the price was right. We had cruised on the Splendor once before out of LA and had a wonderful time. Since the Splendor is no longer in Long Beach, we went with the Miracle. Our stateroom was wonderful as we upgraded to a suite. The ship was fine. The problem was the timing and selection of food in the ...

Great First Cruise!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Elation

This was my first cruise. Staff was GREAT, especially dining staff (GORAN!) Food was exquisite. I probably gained 10+ pounds. The rooms were not spacey, but definitely not cramped. IT GETS REALLY HOT IN THE ROOMS. This was the ONLY thing I didn't like about the cruise. (& the prices of drinks, I DEFINITELY recommend the Cheers! package) Comedic acts were great. There's LOTS of entertainment, ...

Not bad but not great- exactly what you pay for

So I took this Spring Break cruise with a group of friends. It was really cheap ($265) for a 4 people cabin with stops in Key West and Cozumel. So the Ecstasy is the 2nd oldest ship in Carnival's fleet- built in 1991. It was overhauled recently but you can tell the Carnival pays more attention to its newer ships. The inside theme makes you feel like your are still in the 90's. The ship itself is ...

Had a great time...my 14th cruise, maybe 6-8 with carnival...Ship was spotless, Casino was fun..lots to do...Trisha in housekeeping was excellent..always around, and very helpful...our room was spotless at all times..Shows were good, comedian was Great! Good time but not great with an under 2 year old

Review on the under 2 years old restrictions for Camp Carnival: My family of three just did the Los Angeles - Puerto Vallarta - Cabo San Lucas - Los Angeles trip in March 2015 on Carnival Miracle. We travelled with our almost 2 year old (just shy of 2 year birthday in April 2015). Unfortunately we did not know that Carnival has restrictions on the age and could not accommodate in allowing our son ...

In all there were 17 of us! Ranging in age from 7 to 75. There was something for everyone. The service was wonderful overall. The food in the main Dining Room was a pleasant surprise, quite good every night (we did not eat breakfast or lunch in Main D.R) Did not love the way the buffet area was set up - just a personal preference A couple of the shows were standouts in all of our ...

We found the ship to be pretty worn out, (going into shipyard March). The vibration from the engine room was awful worse aft lower and better further away. We did zip line in Cabo which was great, fishing in Mazatlan which was fun except caught no fish, and cheesy horseback riding in the countryside in PV. 24 hr Pizza was best thing on the ship. Dining service was slow and not very special, ...

Okay, so the title says it all - goodbye. In all seriousness, it doesn’t even come close. It’s just that we experienced so many wonderful people and events on our recent Carnival Miracle cruise to Mexico, there just aren’t enough superlatives in the English language to properly describe how great it was. Let’s start with the weather. We have made this particular cruise journey about 20 times. In ...
