This was my 22nd cruise and probably my 10th on Carnival. I booked through their website and received an offer via snail mail and was able to lower my price to about $700 pp for a balcony on Memorial Week.
Getting on the ship was a nightmare. Check in was outside and wrapped around to nearly the Queen Mary. People were still getting off the ship until 12:30pm. We ended up standing in line for ...
BE READY!!! The hard sell is on. EVERYTHING costs. They appear to pay their employees with the tip money you MANDATORY have to pay. The staff was the best thing about this cruise. Food is below average and always cold except for pizza. Bartenders are friendly, but slow. If you are a 20 something party person or 65+ this may be for you. 3 hours to get on the ship? I've been on 7 cruises and this ...
My husband and I used carnival for our first anniversary. From the very moment we stepped on the ship we were very underwhelmed. The staff was not joyful, the deck 10 buffet food was not good, unflavorful, our room had bunk beds when we paid for a king bed, guest services could care less about our bed situation and were unable to get another room. At dinner at Wind Star, night one, we were seated ...
Just out of drydock but ship had noticeable engine vibration when exceeding 10 knots. My 4th level aft cabin's bed definately vibrated which made for poor sleep. If you live in earthquake country, you don't want to feel your bed shaking!. Lower level MDR would have water in glasses vibrate the nearer you sat to rear of ship. Not pleasant.
The balcony cabin was surprisingly spacious, very ...
This was my first cruise. Overall I had a great time and already looking to book my next one.
Embarkation - Pretty easy and painless. We drove up from San Diego and parked at the port for $19 a day. We thought about getting the Faster to Fun option for $50 to embark first. There was really no need for that in my opinion. We got in line about 11:45 to noon and were on the ship eating the buffet ...
I planned this trip for my mother's birthday and Mother's Day celebration. It was a 7 night, 8 day cruise to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Getting on the ship was simple, but getting to our cabin...was a bit up in the air. There was no one around to guide us to where we needed to go, but eventually, we found our cabin. The daily activities were awesome. There was always ...
I went on a cruise for me, my two sisters, and my dad's birthday and this is how my birthday cruise went.
The boat was small, my room had food stuck to the carpet between the beds, the window in my room was so dirty you couldn't see out of it, only one tiny pool and two tiny hot tubs for 2,000 people, the food was bad, the staff was rude, everybody i talked to said it was the worst cruise ...
DH & I sailed on the Carnival Miracle out of Long Beach on Saturday 4/25/15. We live about an hour north of Long Beach, arrived at the terminal around 11 am, parked, gave our luggage to the porter, made our way to the FTTF line, handed over our documents to the young man helping us out & before I knew it, we were saying "cheese" for our S&S cards!. We had about a 20 minute wait until they began ...
My husband & I sailed in the Miracle out of Long Beach on 4/25/15. We only live over an hour away & having purchased FTTF, I was more than ready to leave for port that Saturday morning. Parking was a breeze, handing off our luggage to the porter was another breeze & having FTTF was the best ever!! There was one family of 5, and a single cruiser with FTTF reps when we got in line around 11:30; ...
ship was dated. Furniture worn out. Décor was psychedelic.
shore excursion was not what it was suppose to be. very disappointed. Tequila factory tour with no factories. Just people trying to sell you $50.00 bottles of tequila.
The entertainment at the theater was sophomoric.
The food however, was excellent.
I would not cruise again on Carnival. We where offered a $50.00 coupon if ...
