A really good family cruise for the 3 generations in our party. Embarkation was slower than we would have liked but this all paled into the background once we were on board. The cabins were perfect- window that looked out at the front of deck 9- above the bridge. Clever windows meant no-one could see in during daylight but we had a perfect view out. Overall the ship is very bright & cheery. We loved the layout. Altho very big it didn't seem so. Seating in the Lido Marketplace dining area was very large. We never found it full. You can pour your own draft beer at lunch or dinner time. I chose this as it looked fab for a family with teenagers.The ship was beautiful.The excursion stops were great .Here is my overall summary

What a fantastic experience, loved every minute of it! Brand new clean ship, with lovely staff, amazing facilities, great food, brilliant entertainment! Our cruise on the Vista was my 10th or so overall and probably my 5th with Carnival. Overall, I'm going to give it very high marks.
My wife, 2 boys (12 and 10) stayed in a family harbor stateroom on the 2nd deck. If you are traveling with pre-teens and I can't suggest staying on this deck more highly. There is a private lounge with restricted use to families staying in this area. They ...

We chose the Vista as we love to be on new ships and we had a good cruise on the Splendor; Carnival offers a good deal for your money. So much about the ship is exceptional or solidly good; the food in the lido buffets and in the dining rooms was so below standard, that we question if we would ever go on the Vista again, at least in the Mediterranean.

We have been on over ten cruises with various cruise lines including Carnival. This cruise was selected as the itenary suited us. Unfortunately the service was terrible. The attitude of crew with the exception of cabin stewards was very poor. Senior management were non existent and accordingly their staff were rude and disinterested.
