The cabin features overall were fantastic. Spacious, lots of storage and two bathrooms (the best!). Our Steward was amazing! Very friendly, knew our names, and greeted us every time we passed by. They kept our room nice and tidy. Some of the best cleaning service I've had on a Carnival ship.
My only and biggest complaint about the room was the temperature. The temperature was between 72 and 74 degrees, which after speaking with Guest Services this temp range was appropriate for the state rooms. We could not sleep well because it was so hot in our room, and they wouldn't or couldn't (don't want to necessarily make assumptions) readjust the minimum temperature (our thermostat was on the lowest setting and still 72 degrees in the room). Other Carnival ships I've been on (the magic being the 4th ship), the rooms were very comfortable, and cold how I like it.
My advice to Carnival Magic is to allow a wider temperature range in state rooms for various guests, not everyone likes a 70 degree room. Read entire member review >>
My favorite cabin we've had on our fourteen cruises. We had two bathrooms - one with a tub/shower and the other had a shower, sink and toilet. We had plenty of storage space, the beds are comfortable and the televisions had more channels than we usually get on a cruise. The televisions are also interactive which is nice so you can check your sail and sign account balance (which is important since they no longer deliver paper statements at the end if the cruise) as well as view the restaurant menus (although they were usually wrong). We had an ocean view room and even though there were three of us in the room we never felt cramped. The key is to unpack everything your first day and store your luggage under the bed. Nice big room with 2 bathrooms each with a sink and a shower. One had a commode and the other one had a tub. This room has plenty of closet space, a small fridge and a safe. Read entire member review >>
Terrific room. We also had 1226, adjoining. Very quiet. Occasion sound of the waves hitting the ship. Very convenient to the forward elevators, which will take you all the way to Deck 12, the only ones that do that. Also convenient to Deck 0, were you get on and off the ship for excursions. Having the two showers in the room is mighty convenient and with our other room, four could take a shower at once before dinner. The room is plenty big enough and comfortable, with lots of closet space. Read entire member review >>
LOVED the cabin! We had a Deluxe Ocean View and it was awesome. 2 bathrooms, plenty of sleeping areas, lots of storage. There was even drawers under the couch. The larger bathroom had so many shelves that I never even used the bathroom organizer I packed. Great for 5 people! Read entire member review >>
Way too noisy. No sleep from 4-6am onwards sometimes earlier. The whole room shakes and everything in it. We were in 1443 and 1447. The design was very good, great ocean view, two bathrooms, comfy bed good sofa converted to small single-I could not sleep on this as it vibrated every 20 seconds all night long so we all ended up in the king (Myself and DD,s aged 3&5), slept sound till the dreaded room shaking vibrations began..TV with limited channels.
