Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Miracle

After reading all the negative reviews, we were surprised. Yes, the Miracle is an older ship and need a facelift, but overall it was nice and we had a good time. We arrived the day before our cruise and was at the pier by 11 am and boarded by 12 noon. Once on board we headed to the Lido deck to have lunch. There wasn't much food to select from to our likes, but it was okay. We were able to ...

Look, cruising is a blast. I mean great beds, service and food, entertainment all around. Overall, a great deal, but a few negatives can put a cast over the experience. I'll get to those, but the nice thing about this cruise is the beautiful scenery, calm seas and great color and culture in Mexico. the Cabo stop is short but was long enough to walk a bit and then take a Panga over to the beach in ...

We had saved for this cruise for a long time. It wa our 3rd cruise but the first with our young children. We purchased the Faster to the Fun pass which supposedly sent us to a shorter embarkation line and our room and luggage were supposed to be ready and delivered when we boarded. The check in line was long but not 2hrs so I think we probably made out ok there. Our room was ready but it took a ...

We really enjoyed the trip through the Mexican Riviera. For the price the Miracle is really a great option. As many have said in several other blogs or reviews, the parking at the terminal will cost you $133.00 but very convenient and safe for the week. I too would not get to the terminal until 12:30 or so as the lines become quite long, however something to consider is a covered parking space ...

Becoming Disenchanted

Our first ever cruise on Carnival was a Mediterrean cruise with John Heald as our cruise director. That set the bar extremely high and it's never been met since. We've had nice cruises on Carnival since but these last two are causing me to rethink my cruising choices. The entertainment on this one was good but nothing outstanding and the same thing every night--singing and dancing. A magician ...

Spent the night before the cruise aboard the Queen Mary which was right by the carnival terminal. On cruise day we rolled our luggage over to the area of embarkation. An extremely incompetent Carnival employee tried to direct us into the main LONG waiting line though our boarding passes said PRIORITY on them. He finally realized this and directed us to the Captains Lounge for us to ...

With the high cost of Airfare flying to New Orleans Miami or the east cost was Cost prohibitive. So living in Arizona made since to drive to LA and go to Mexico. 1) Long wait times and confusion in the Terminal, got told 3 different answers to once common question, no coordination, We arrived at the Terminal Early and had to wait through 4 hours to get onto the ship... Ships crew looked ...

We flew in a couple of days early so we could see the sites in Cali! We had a early flight from Hobby Houston to LAX and arrived on time, caught the Avis shuttle and picked up our rental car 45 minutes early! Everything was flowing so smooth. I had not made a firm plan as to what we would do first so we decided that we would just make our way toward our Hotel and see how easy it would be to ...

I've cruised 6 times before. 4 times with Carnival, once with Norwegian and once with Princess. Although I've consulted this site many times, this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. For the life of me I cannot understand why the Miracle is rated as Carnival's #2 ship on this site. There are so many other better ships in their fleet that are superior. The reason that I ...

I will start off by saying that I am not a Carnival Cruise Line fan. Admittedly I have not cruised with Carnival on any Carnival ship for over 20 years. The ships we've been on are the Holiday and Jubilee, both of which are long gone. In brief, the embarkation experience in Long Beach, CA was less than acceptable. Really?, outdoors on make-shift, temporary tables??? Once onboard (about ...
