I had never been on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. This made cruise number 13 for me aboard Carnival ships. I enjoyed the cruise although the ship is older and smaller than some of Carnival's other ships. The decorations were a bit weird with all of that grape theme throughout the restaurants. The food was good. The entertainment was a waste of time.

Planned a surprised for my hubby trip to meet up with friends and had a great time! The pluses were:
- no wait at the buffet which was always well stocked and fresh
- Service staff in the dining room (Dio and Lasitter were very attentive and remembered all of our favorites!!) and helped us celebrate our various anniversaries and bdays which seemed to be every night!!!

My wife and I took the Mexican Riviera cruise from Long Beach for our anniversary. We chose this cruise because we love Mexico, but mostly because we live in Long Beach and skipping a flight to Houston or Miami saved us a ton of time and money. What can I say? This was a wonderful cruise. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. I especially liked the Nick and Nora steakhouse – it was amazing! There was lots to do on the ship , Never boring. I had the best mac & cheese I've ever had during the brunch at Sea. The Dr. Seuss breakfast was a lot of fun and well worth the five dollars. We've been on two other Carnival cruises on different ships each time. This by far was our worst experience cruising. It was our honeymoon cruise so we booked a balcony room on the 7th floor so we could enjoy the views from the balcony.
