The cabin was superb and thankfully was rather more tastefully decorated than the public areas of the ship. The additional room afforded by the sofa (which converts to a bed for 3 people sharing) made a huge difference. The extended balcony was definitely worth the modest upgrade cost, extra room to stretch out and enjoy the sea air.. the one downside was an inconsiderate passenger from 2 levels up who insisted on cleaning out their beach gear by throwing sand and grid over their balcony, presumably into the sea but with the layout of the ship, most of their rubbish landed on out balcony (and all over me in one case).. sadly there's not much any cruise line can do about people like that, One thing to bear in mid .. the forward cabins on level 5 are right above the theatre so you will experience the "doof-doof" of the bass and drums when shows are on and during rehearsals, now this would normally not be an issue but unfortunately I was ill for a day and while recuperating in the cabin I had to put up with this through a rehearsal and two shows. Like I said ordinarily it wouldn't have been a big deal but if you expect to spend more time in your cabin you may want to bear this in mind and select one elsewhere. One other point about balcony cabins .. despite the regulations people DO SMOKE on balconies. On a number of occasions the smell of tobacco was very obvious on the balconies and we witnessed people smoking and did report the transgressors to guest services who acted on it straight away. Unfortunately this impossible to regulate and sadly most smokers seem to possess a distorted sense of entitlement and operate under the belief that the rules somehow don't apply to them.

Cabin 7180
A little tired but spacious enough with plenty of storage. The deep balconies were a real highlight.

Cabin 6226
Pretty average furnishing. TV was at least 20 years old and it had horrible reception at all locations. the bathroom tap was leaking and there was a constant laod fan blowing air in the bathroom 24/7. There was no way to switch it off.

Cabin was great, but I would not pay for an extended balcony again. Just didn't feel like it was that great for what was paid.

Cabin 5127

We were pleasantly surprised that our guaranteed balcony booking eventuated into an extended balcony on Deck 5 Upper. However as we were at the forward end of the Legend we were more prone to the rocking of the ship which greatly affected my wife's overall enjoyment. However our cabin was spacious as there was only the 2 of us with room for 2 more with fold-down bunk from the ceiling.

Cabin 6257

Our room was bigger and nicer than expected. The bunks and queen bed set up worked perfectly for us. The mattress was lovely and I had no problem sleeping (in fact I had the best sleep of my life on that boat). There were no wear and tear issues with the room furniture and it was quite lovely. The TV was quite dated (at least a 10 year old tube TV), but we rarely used it anyway. The bathroom was very functional, and the shower thermostat settings are great. The balcony was unobstructed and was sheltered which was great as we had a couple of rough sea days, but were still able to sit out and enjoy the view. No exterior noise. Room was Midship and close to the elevators which eliminated walking

Oh Carnival Vancouverman89

OK, nothing to write home about.

I would not spend the extra money for a Balcony again, could not use it as so many smokers on theirs.

It was nice & clean. Roomy enough. Lots of closet space. The extended balcony was worth the extra money.

Cruiser Beware! needadvice
Our cabin was a good location and quiet. The fact that it was very dirty is probably not because of the location.

Close to elevators, but not too close. Being Aft, it's close to the MDR, but far from Camp Carnival and the show lounge.

Loved this cruise! Cruising9221
Loved this room! Awesome extended balcony! We had lots of room! It was very clean, and it's the same layout as most of the balcony and ocean view rooms. We even had a crib put in it for our baby, and it never felt too tight for the 3 of us (I did have to make sure everything stayed picked up so it wouldn't feel that way). The ONLY bad thing is, the room and balcony are "set in" from the regular balcony rooms. And since 6257 is only the 2nd cabin "set in" the regular rooms block a little bit of your view when you look out to your left. My sister had 6259 as well so we had the divider and we'd go to her room so we could see a little more "ahead" if we wanted to.

The view from the balcony is a bit disappointing. You could hear the staff working on the deck above at night and in the morning, but it didn't really bother us.

We were please with our extended balcony cabin. It was clean and plenty of storage and the bed was comfortable. We expected an updated TV but since we don't spend much time in the room, I guess that isn't an important issue.

The cabin is below the Lido deck and you can hear people walking and chairs moving. The balcony is wonderful, there is a large overhang so you don't get wet when it rains. There is a refrigerator, TV and safe in the room and it also has a 3rd bed that is above the sofa.
