Carnival Jacksonville Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Good Cheap Spring Break Cruise with Kids

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Elation

We chose this cruise for Easter weekend because we wanted to take the kids someplace warm for Spring break, but did not want to blow out our budget. We got a good price and we were able to drive to the port in Jacksonville, which is 5 hours from our home in Charlotte. We have never cruised Carnival before and we've heard varying things about this cruise line. We have a 5 year old, a 17 year old ...

First cruise did not disappoint

I have never cruised before, but I used to want to work on a cruise ship (life happened, things changed), and I was beyond excited to go on a cruise with my family. My dad purchased the cruise for my 6-year-old daughter and myself, and we traveled with my parents and my grandparents. I was excited for a vacation, but I was also very curious of the service aspect as I work in the hospitality ...

Spring Break, Kids Ahoy!

Spring break cruise with the kids, and 900 of their friends! It was a fun experience with our two boys, 8 and 6. Camp Ocean was crazy though, so it wasn't always the best place for them. Food was so-so, you have an idea what you're getting when you book on Carnival, I just wish it would be hot, or even warm some times. Half-Moon Cay was great, even if the tendering in rough waters wasn't ...

First Carnival Cruise, not bad, just not exemplary

My daughter's dance studio performed on this cruise, normally I am not a Carnival cruiser (usually Royal Caribbean), and Bahamas is not a favorite destination. However, we did find our cabin to be larger than anticipated (U72) and it was easy to find our way around the ship after exploring. The food was not bad, but not great, and our server seemed to forget a lot of requests (ie. condiment ...

First cruise that totally blew me away

This being my first cruise, I was a little apprehensive on what to expect, but I was looking to book my next cruise as soon as I was able to get cell service again. From Kevin, our cruise director, and his fun ship team, from embarkation to debarkation, they were there and full of energy, making you want to get involved and have fun. Then the room steward team, with their towel animals, ...

Underwhelmed - poor first impression

Carnival Elation – March 1 – March 5, 2018 I was invited to join a wonderful group of girlfriends who have been cruising with Carnival for years. I jumped at the invitation and could not have asked for a better group with whom to spend 4 days. My company was, by far, the highlight of the trip. I certainly was not expecting a luxury experience. But I was expecting FUN. And although we ...

Food Could Be Better

We went on the short four night cruise to the Bahamas because the Port of Jacksonville is just twenty minutes down the road from us. I've been on eight or nine Carnival cruises before this and one on Royal Caribbean. I have preferred Carnival. Our last cruise was also on the Elation in 2016, but out of New Orleans, going to the Western Caribbean. The Elation has been recently refurbished and ...

Cruise was good for the price. Embarkation and Disembarkation was good, friendly people in security which always makes me feel better. Too bad you're not allowed to take pics, I would love to get a pic of all the food they were loading on board! lol Didn't take too long to get through but I don't know why they don't have air conditioning in that building! I was able to skip some of the embarkation ...

Cabin was not as expected

Needed to get away. It was a perfect cruise for a get-away. We did love all the seating arrangements outside of the Lido, so one could eat outside and enjoy the view or just sit outdoors and play a game or read, away from the noise of the pool area. This ship had outside seating (apart from lounge chairs around the pool) on almost every deck. Even the very top deck was there to watch the view ...

Carnival don’t care. At all.

I made my second cruise with Carnival and I’m done with Carnival. I booked this trip as a 30th wedding anniversary for my wife and I. When I booked the cruise they asked if there was a special occasion and I said “yes, it’s my 30th wedding anniversary”. I guess they didn’t believe me because it was never mentioned by anyone aboard. Ever. Why did you ask? Next, there were only a few of the crew ...
