Cabin 205 - 221
Cabin was very well maintained and very stylish. Ship is older but does not detract from the appearance of the cabin. Noise level in Cabin 205 was unreal.

Delightful LittleRedJohn

Our stateroom was small, but very well organized, with more storage space than we used. Bathroom was small, but fine. A decent shower, no tub. Plenty of air conditioning and hot water.

Cabin 235

The cabins were more than adequate. A large bed, flat screen TV, more than enough packing and storage space. The bathroom cubicle was adequate in size with only a shower, toilet and washbasin. As one knows that space is at a premium on-board, the cabins are spacious enough for the amount of time spent in them. Room service was exceptional and the facilities and cleaning also excellent.

Cabin AX217
A nice Cabin that has been upgraded in refurbishment . A good sized bathroom but Cabin very noisy from engine room. We had to buy ear plugs ashore to get some sleep at night.

All the cabins are the same. The closet space was more than adequate and the bathroom was excellent.

Cabin 203
Most Wind Star (and Wind Spirit) cabins are the same size, but the layout and furniture offers seemingly more storage than most other cruise ships that we have sailed on. The washroom and shower facilities actually allow for room to bend over and pick up a bar of soap. DVD TV's in every cabin offer a variety of in cabin movies, available free from the library. Access to any deck up a flight or two of stairs, without any elevator represents only a brief challenge for disabled travelers (my wife included)...there is a whole lot of less walking anywhere than on large ships. We were in Cabin 203, aft and were not disurbed by the exercise room or any other things normally associated with the aft of any other ship.

Cabin 220
Great appointments, very limited television programming, wonderful bathroom and amenities... absolutely nothing but good things to say about the cabin.

Cabin 238
We were assigned cabin 238, which was midship. Although no cabins on WIND STAR have balconies, I very much enjoyed the space. The entire cabin had a nautical feel, from the wood paneling and overhead bins, to the teak flooring in the bathroom. There are twin portholes, which accentuated the nautical ambiance. The bed was extremely comfortable with fine linens, extra cotton blankets, and an abundance of pillows. Amenities included a mini-bar, hair dryer, flat panel TV, DVD player, and an iPod docking station. DVD's and a loaded iPod can be checked out from the reception desk. I really loved the bathroom. I think I would go as far to say it's the best designed standard ship bathroom on any ship I have sailed. There is a large modern sink, tons of shelves, and two alcoves, one for the shower and one for the toilet. The shower had amazing pressure and the two Grohe shower heads where were fantastic. I liked these so much I just ordered a Grohe showerhead for my house! As mentioned before, the flooring was teak, which was a nice touch. Bath products were by L'Occitane. This cabin had absolutely no noise from above or below, no vibration from engines, and was very quiet. The only thing you could really hear were the waves outside the portholes, which I enjoyed. The air conditioning worked very well, and I was always able to get the cabin as cold or warm as I desired.
