This was a bucket list item to cruise to Hawaii. Had a fantastic time, Splendor is a great ship and although older, was very well maintained. Great variety of food options. MDR food was outstanding, yes, outstanding. Only had 1 bad experience, didn't like their lasagna, but staff was quick to provide another meal item. This is my 1st Carnival cruise but my 7th cruise. I won’t sail Carnival again. Feel like I’m on budget holiday. The food is ordinary, cold when it’s supposed to be hot and visa versa. 5 days until we get home can’t come quickly enough. Everything is a money grab you even have to pay for fish and chips. We joined a group and wanted to visit Hawaii.
Overall its been an OK cruise mostly because of entertainment and tender ports.
The ship isn't big with 2000 passengers but it still took over an hour to disembark. The worst performance in over 15 cruises.

An interesting cruise. Embarkation went very well and quick - very efficient.
Decor inside ship is very dark - if I had a choice I would paint all the dark brown areas a light off white colour. But it is what it is.
If you are a regular cruiser on RCL or Princess I believe you will be disappointed with Carnival - it is a step down.
