Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Carnival Freedom and Passion Island Fatality

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Freedom

We have always enjoyed Carnival Cruises. We like the relaxed atmosphere and non-pretentious passengers and crew. We also love the "Hairy Chest" contests, "Lip Sync" contests, and Karaoke, as well as the comedians and shows. BUT. . .this past cruise took a tragic and disturbing turn when one of the passengers had an accident on the Passion Island shore excursion. It happened on a water ...

This was our first cruise and I wasn't sure what to expect. The cabin was fine, and the staff very friendly. The food was not very good with little selection for kids. Not many activities for kids of any age. We mostly sat at the pool. My youngest(9) did the water slide, but in the heat the deck was too hot to wait in line, since you could not wear water shoes on the slide. She also went to the ...

We had an amazing time! I didn't know what to expect. We were first time cruisers. We had mixed reviews from our friends about cruises. But this was Fantastic! We used EZ Cruise Parking in Galveston. You get a 20$ discount if you walk to the terminal. It was worth it for us because it was only like two blocks over. I read alot about what to take and what not to take, so I didn't overpack (I think ...

Costco.com, last minute pricing, food was great and all venues. Burgers fantastic. Nice variety. Kids camp was a bonus. Staff very friendly. Was disappointed in how loud music was. Mornings were nice but music volumes increased throughout the day so you literally were screaming outside by the pool to be heard. I like music don't get me wrong but this is totally unnecessary. Also the smoke from ...

Terrible cruise from a person that loves cruises

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

We were on the Valor 6/22/17 for a 4 night out of Galveston with my family of 5 plus my sons GF. It was ny middle sons 18th and graduation present. I found the ship to be dirty and the staff to be very rude. I found it was very boring with not many activities to do. The thing that really got me is that my daughter ship and sail card was charged 113.00 for some old lady perfume in the ship ...

I traveled with a group of co-workers. Food was good, not great, with a few inspired items, like the rabbit appetizer or strawberry bisque in the dining room or the apple cake on buffet. Plenty of activities. The port at Cozumel is not near the town center, and is essentially located at an artificial grouping of shops and restaurants and bars. The excursion around Cozumel island included a ...

Great family trip for the money (though so much more expensive in summer)!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Breeze

It worked with kids out of school and one son in law starting new army assignment in July. It also was in Galveston, which could avoid flights. All the services were great, as was Schwartz the cruise director! We've had many Carnival cruises, but seem to be noticing a bit of downturn on the quality of evening restaurant meals. We would not go to Jamaica again, water is known for almost no coral, ...

The Carnival Breeze has a LOT to offer! Plenty of entertainment options with the Thrill Theater, Ovation Theater, and Limelight Lounge. The waterslides were a HUGE hit with my 6 year old daughter! Can't wait to go on the Breeze again! The food in the Main Dining Room was spot on - prime rib, filet mignon, lobster, short ribs, shrimp curry - those are just a few of the options we had on various ...

Not Up to Par

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Breeze

Service boat-wide was lacking and not up to Carnival's reputation, unfortunately. Had continual dining room issues regarding seating - likely because of this issue, the dining room service was extremely poor. Stateroom: Deck 11: HORRENDOUS air conditioning problems. Do not book if you cannot bring your own fan - you will sweat out! Several calls to guest services could not solve. ...

Embarkation went very smoothly....checked in early...waited patiently for our "zone" to be called. Cabin cleaned and ready for occupancy...did not see much of our cabin steward the whole week...always seemed to have a lot of cleaning trolleys in the hallway. Not good in an emergency. Food service and specialty restaurants were okay. In Nassau, we encountered the worst run shore ...
