Never cruised, picked for location, and then picked for destination. The Valor was fabulous, it had everything I needed. Went above and beyond for my expectations. Another great Carnival cruise on the Freedom. My 10th cruise on Carnival. Service can make or break a cruise and we had the best service we have had since the Conquest in 2003. We needed a cruise with our cruising buddies. The port is close to home, only a hour and half away.
Embarkation was a Breeze (pun intended). Stateroom was great, two separate bathrooms,only one toilet. Had plenty of room to unpack clothes. The shows were great entertainment. We had to cancel a proposed Alaska cruise due to a conflict with the birth of our grand daughter. This cruise was selected for R & R as a substitute. It worked out very nicely. We were especially pleased with the extra care given to us by the American Lobby bar staff. Napa was her name and I think he spelled his name Putra. They were always smiling and ready to help us.
