Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Amazing first time

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

We booked our first cruise on this ship on a whim because the balcony price was too good to pass up. We had an absolute great time and now we're cruisers for life! We ran on time and staff and food was great. There were plenty of activities (sometimes didn't run exactly on time but pretty close), plenty to do. The boarding and unloading was efficient and fast. The shows were great and the energy ...

We have cruised on Carnival for the last 12 years and have always enjoyed them. But the entertainment on the ship was just awful, if it wasn't for the Karaoke there wouldn't be no entertainment at all. It appears Carnival is cutting back expenses which fine but most people I think want good entertainment. The employees on the ship were great and the ship was clean and all the public restrooms ...

Just not cruisers!

We chose this cruise because it was affordable, the home port was within an hour of our house and we were celebrating a special event. The decor was pretty tacky but in good repair and everywhere we went on the ship was clean and well cared for. Our favorite part of the cruise was the serenity deck. Being early risers I was able to get a clamshell every morning and we could relax and read in ...

The ship was nice. Not as nice I was expecting for a newer ship. It was clean and the decor was ok just not my style. We had two cabins and the service was great in both. Loved the balcony. Deck 7 was very peaceful and no noise from above or below. Next time I will plan on spending 3+ nights in the specialty restaurants or maybe I will eat more at the buffet. My family likes sit down ...

Amazing Experience for First Time Cruiser

We chose this cruise ship because it is based out of Galveston. Since we live just north of Houston, this was the closest to us. Not knowing much about this cruise ship, we went ahead and booked it. Upon arrival, my wife forgot her birth certificate. Dave, the guy that helped us with the situation, was amazing. My wife wound up going back home and getting her birth certificate (over an hour ...

Breeze-Lots of Fun...but...

So, this is our (wife and I) 4th Carnival cruise and our 4th different ship (previous ships are the Ecstasy, Triumph and Liberty). Embarkation was a breeze (pardon the pun) as we had FTTF. From walking into the terminal to getting to our room was about 20 minutes. A big part of that, aside from FTTF, was that your sail and sign cards are sent ahead to your cabin. So all you do now is go ...

We chose this cruise because it was going out of Galveston. We would not have picked this itinerary but it was what was available for Thanksgiving week. I have been to Jamaica on a couple of land trips and a couple of cruises, so there was nothing I really wanted to do, so we just did the Hop-on Hop-off bus. We had a very safe driver on the outbound trip, but they take you to the farthest ...

We are in our early 40s and went on the Thanksgiving cruise with our two kids, who were out of school with all the other kids :). Long, detailed – sorry. We have been on 9 other cruise (the kids – 1 had been on 2 others and the other 1 other), all on NCL (so review with comparisons). We selected Carnival, so that we could drive to Galveston and not have to buy 4 plane tickets. NCL has sailed from ...

The food was great -- steaks were amazing! Our wait staff was super busy, but continued to be attentive to our needs. The ship is beautiful and well kept. Our granddaughters and family were with us and the girls had lots of fun participating in youth activities. We took the trolley in Key West, toured Hemingway House and ate Key Lime pie at Kermit's (a must!). We were sad to see that the ...

5 days Carnival Valor - Nov 18-23 - first time cruising from Galveston

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

We were a multi-generational group-4 OS cabins on 7th Empress decks on the Valor. The only cruise experience anyone had was I went one a 3 day Carnival Ecstasy out of Miami in 1992. Here are some details: • We had 6 PM seating in Washington dining room. The food was better than I expected. There was a lot of variety and the portion sizes were good too, not huge plates of wasted food. The ...
