We were looking for an anniversary cruise for the end of December. This 5 day cruise to Cozumel and Progreso fit our schedules and was a welcome break from the cold. We had a balcony cabin and the only complaint was dirty carpet. Our steward Mohammed took car of that quickly.

So we used Faster To The Fun (FTTF) for the first time to sail on the Valor, loved it. The only issue experienced with it, is we did not get our luggage early as it states we would. Having cruised over 20 times with multiple companies and ships, we chose the Freedom because of its departure from Galveston and our large family could drive versus expensive airfares to Miami … unquestionably, the Carnival Freedom was the absolutely worst ship we have ever experienced.

We chose this cruise because it sailed out of Galveston. Overall it was a disappointment. The food in the dining rooms and the buffet was not as good as on Princess or NCL. The timing of the cruise was one reason. It was over New Years. The cruise, also, left from Galveston. It is just so easy for us Texans to drive to Galveston and not worry about flights being delayed, etc. We always go down to Galveston a day ahead and spend the night.
