Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

It's a big ship but it doesn't feel that way

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

We were looking for an anniversary cruise for the end of December. This 5 day cruise to Cozumel and Progreso fit our schedules and was a welcome break from the cold. We had a balcony cabin and the only complaint was dirty carpet. Our steward Mohammed took car of that quickly. Natalia and Dino took great care of us in the dining room, including celebrating our anniversary with us. If you plan ...

Good & Relaxing Cruise

So we used Faster To The Fun (FTTF) for the first time to sail on the Valor, loved it. The only issue experienced with it, is we did not get our luggage early as it states we would. We did love getting on the ship as soon as we checked in (11:15AM) and the short Guest Services line (really loved this), most the time I went to guest services the line was 10 to 20 people long. Either there was ...

New Years Eve was the "Pit of Misery" ... No "Dilly Dilly"

Having cruised over 20 times with multiple companies and ships, we chose the Freedom because of its departure from Galveston and our large family could drive versus expensive airfares to Miami … unquestionably, the Carnival Freedom was the absolutely worst ship we have ever experienced. The floor plan was horrible, always up & down ... bars and venues were all in small rooms with no windows ...

We chose this cruise because it sailed out of Galveston. Overall it was a disappointment. The food in the dining rooms and the buffet was not as good as on Princess or NCL. The highlight of the cruise was the Punchliners Comedy club, esp. the early pg shows, not the later adult ones. Other than that, entertainment on the cruise was not great. Most of the onboard activities were designed to ...

Great Time on The Valor

The timing of the cruise was one reason. It was over New Years. The cruise, also, left from Galveston. It is just so easy for us Texans to drive to Galveston and not worry about flights being delayed, etc. We always go down to Galveston a day ahead and spend the night. Galveston is a fun town with lots to do. Most hotels will let you leave your car for free and use their shuttle to travel to and ...

My husband and I chose this cruise to experience our first New Years Eve on a ship and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We also enjoyed our itinerary (Cozumel, Belize, and Roatan) as we have never been to Belize before. Overall we enjoyed our little vacation and had a great time, however there are some things that stick out. We had a window cabin 1351 on deck 1. Though the bed was neatly ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted a short cruise and wanted to try the Galveston Port. We lucked out because the Cruise Director Frankie was fantastic. The ship was clean, staff were super friendly, and there was a general fun, relaxed atmosphere the whole time. We are experienced cruisers and so we have high expectations for the fun factor but this cruise met all of them. Each day ...

Fun Post-Christmas Cruise!

This was a 18-person family cruise. Overall, it was a fun experience. I prefer Royal Caribbean cruises, but I have sailed Carnival Breeze so i will compare it to that more so than Royal Caribbean. The embarkation and debarkation processes in Glaveston were WONDERFUL. We had faster to the fun because we got the earliest time and we waited about 10 minutes and were on the ship eating at Guy's ...

Christmas Cruise

This was our second time on the Carnival Breeze. The weather was perfect when we departed from Galveston. First two days at sea were very nice, entertainment could have been better on the pool deck. First port Jamaica ! It was a disaster trying to get off. People were late for excursions they didn't call by priority or by FTTF they had everyone trying to get off the ship at the same time. ...

Christmas with Carnival

We booked a 7 day Christmas cruise from Galveston to Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras. The ship was decorated very nicely with a Christmas tree and a Menorah in the main lobby (deck 3). Christmas fell on a shore day, so I was not around for the non-denominational service, but I do know that there was one scheduled. There was also a cute mailbox that kids could write letters to Santa and place ...
