Smoke and burgers

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Conquest

Price, room, service, and itinerary was good. However, I did not know Carnival allowed smoking in the casino and surrounding area. Apparently many people who took this cruise did, and smoked so much that the smoke was suffocating anywhere near the casino. You could smell it in the stairwells several floors up. My clothes would smell like I had been to a cheap bar. Best food was at Guys ...

My 3rd cruise with Carnival, and multiple cruises on other cruise lines. We're home and had a great time! Room location was great (7th Floor Balcony) because it was relatively quiet, and just under the back of the ship where 2 floors up are the pools and Lido Buffets. Easy to get to and convenient. Didn't really like the ship's lay out or décor- it's French artists and I dont' think there ...

Background --- The Conquest was our seventh cruise with Carnival and our eleventh overall. We have also cruised on the Disney Magic when our sons were growing up. The Conquest is the second in her class that we've been on. We did a New Year's Eve cruise on the Liberty two years ago. Getting on the ship -- We bought Faster to the Fun and from what I saw in Ft. Lauderdale, it was a good ...

Good Fun, but Not Great

This was my first cruise, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt. I don't have any other cruises to compare it to, so I am just telling how I felt during the cruise. First, the bad. Look and Feel: We decided on a Christmas cruise because we thought being at sea on Christmas day with all the festivities and decorations would be really nice. Plus, my wife is a teacher and this is ...

Carnival Doesn't Disappoint Cruisers on Conquest, FTTF

This was our family's 3rd cruise, but 2nd cruise on the Carnival Conquest during Christmas week. Given that the cruise was sold out, the ship was obviously crowded, but that didn't keep our family from making the most of our days, enjoying lots of activities and having a wonderful holiday vacation. First off, we always take advantage of the price protection guaranty with the Early Saver ...

After reading many reviews (most of them negative) I was going on my first cruise ever with low expectations. It was a blast!!! The staff is outstanding. For instance, upon arrival on the ship, we asked how to get to our room. Instead of telling us, the staff member actually walked with us the entire way to get to our room. When sitting by the pool, the staff doesn't wait until your drink is ...

For those of you who are expecting the typical horrible review for the Carnival Conquest, you are not going to find it here. If the ship is so bad, why was our cruise sold out? It’s up to you to make the best of your cruise vacation, and the Carnival Conquest exceeded our expectations due to its Cruise Director, Eric Brouman, its service by the crew, and the destinations on this trip which ...

We have cruised 12 times on Carnival and are Platinum members. I get very tired of reading negative reviews from people who have nothing better to do than complain about everything. Prior to this trip was no exception. We found the Conquest to be in excellent condition. The staff was excellent, the food was excellent. Everything went very smooth. The Cruise Director Eric "the voice from above" was ...

So Disappointed

We sailed this ship from 11/28-12/6. Overall it was a great trip but the 2 stars are because of all the quirks that happened. The food: If was a gamble. Sometimes it was good, sometimes inedible.During breakfast, they dont have cinnamon for the french toast. The grits had NO taste and when I dared asked for a 3rd slice of bacon, the server scoffed then reluctantly gave me one extra piece of ...

We began our journey with flights on Southwest to Ft. Lauderdale. We flew down on the day after Thanksgiving and had hoped that the flights would be relatively empty. Wrong. Every seat was taken and somehow it felt as though they had packed in extra seats because I don’t recall ever feeling that cramped in an airline seat before. My the time we landed and collected our bags it was 11:30 PM. ...
