Worse Cruise Ever

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Conquest

chose Carnival for a July 2016 cruise to celebrate daughter's graduation from high school. I prefer HAL or Celebrity but wasn't able to find a cruise that met my requirements. Had a balcony cabin with my wife, daughter and one of her friends. Crowded but what I expected. Embarkation was horrible due to a computer problem. Took over 3 hours to get on the ship. The ship seemed to be hot overall. ...

My First Concert Cruise

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Conquest

This Carnival Cruise was a Concert Cruise, with the entertainment of Trace Adkins. I had only known this soft spoken man on Celebrity Apprentice and as Sandra Bullock's husband. I did not know that he could sing so well. He did an excellent job, which gave me a new appreciation for Country Music. In addition to having a great concert, we cruised to Nassau and Freeport where we took a Catamaran ...

Best Cruise Ever

This was a getaway for me because I'm a caregiver for my husband. I chose this cruise because it was the closest port to my home and the shortest cruise. My friend Darlene and I are able afford a nice suite, so Carnival upgraded us from a Grand Suite to a Captains Suite. So well worth it our cabin Stewart was named Huro and went above and beyond. He cleaned our suite twice a day and always had new ...

Great ship and value, if you know what you want!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Conquest

Preface: I cruise because I like to enjoy the amenities on the boat. When everyone disembarks to drink their faces off at Senor Frogs, I like having quiet shaded loungers to myself. I'm a firm believer that a cruise is what you choose to make it. Some folks would be distressed by the lido buffet lines, or the sometimes unclear instructions on how to disembark while in port. But for me, even on ...

Texas Hold Em problem

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Conquest

The entertainment and food aboard the ship were all first class. However, we had chosen this particular cruise because they advertised Texas Hold Em in the casino. Texas Hold Em was even listed on the daily shipboard activities schedule. There was no card game scheduled and no dealer provided. There was an empty table. Casino employees informed us that we could use the table if we got our own ...

Time for Another Ship

This cruise had some ports we never visited before and it was a good fit for our budget, 6 people over $10,000. The embarkation took a long time. As the cruise unfolded, we found a common theme of disorganization. The following areas were of concern and reported on the ship. 1. Food Service Dining Room and Buffet. Lines and more lines. It seemed there was not enough help. Example: It took ...

Family cruise huge success. This was my second Carnival Cruise. First was Conquest’s twin sister the Splendor. Being the mirror image made the ship very small. I knew this ship backwards and forward. Location of every venue, bar and grub spot. What kept boredom away was the difference in food, drink and entertainment. The wonderful Alchemy Bar!!!! Woofing down over a dozen hamburgers on this ...

Great Cruise, Horrible Excursion Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Conquest

User Avatar

The staff on the ship are really kind - but the excursion staff, not so much. Went on a snorkeling trip with two stops - water was extremely rough at the first stop. I became quite ill and the captain and first mate made no effort whatsoever to help me. I was only told to not throw up on their boat. At the conclusion of the excursion, I struggled to get off the boat, barely able to walk, and with ...

I sailed on Carnival Conquest for my great niece's 16th birthday, with family and friends. The Conquest ship was a big disappointment and the stench on the ship was stomach-turning. I have sailed on 6 different Carnival ships and the Conquest was the worst. When I enter a cruise ship i usually go "WOW" because the decor is so beautiful but not this time. Carnival got it totally wrong with the ...
