Embarkation: We always stay at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach the night before our cruise. We book the Park and Cruise package which includes the room, eight nights of parking, and a free shuttle to/from the Carnival cruise port which is about a five minute drive. We had a nice Fall break on the Panorama if you are looking to get a taste of cruising with kids (12-14yrs) The pricing was really reasonable. The kids group was really lacking attention for pre teens. They had to make their own fun with the other pre teens. I would only rate comedy shows and productions as fair.
