We chose this cruise because Galveston is a convenient port for us and we wanted to be on the new Carnival Vista. We booked a balcony cabin, and about a month before the cruise, the "up grade fairy" called us and offered us an aft balcony cabin for about $6 per person. We took it and were very glad.
The ship had arrived late so the lines to check in were fairly long since passengers were ...
My wife and I sailed with our son, who turned 2 on December 1, 2018, on the Carnival Magic’s December 2, 2018 sailing to Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. This review will give a synopsis of our experience.
We live in Coconut Creek, Florida, which is just north of Ft. Lauderdale. We arrived at the Port of Miami at just before 12:30 PM on December 2nd. Embarkation was a breeze ...
Chose this cruise in early December because I love a winter vacation without the kids and during this time of year between Thanksgiving and Christmas . . . the price is right (as Bob Barker and Drew Carey would say). It was my 3rd Carnival cruise, my first one on the Carnival Dream, and the first one out of New Orleans. Embarkation and Disembarking has improved with each cruise I've gone on. ...
We saw a Smithsonian channel segment on new ships with Vista included. We live in Dallas so Galveston was convenient.
This ship is bigger than other Carnival ships we have sailed on but it doesn't seem large inside. The atrium is a much documented problem. It is small, mostly bar, three stories with glass railings and bar stools at the railings to look down and watch-- what? In fact, this ...
We cruised from Miami on Dec. 2.
We had an aft balcony. The airport check-in and transfer to the port was great. We got easily on the ship and straight to the room. It was downhill from there. My wife has asthma so tobacco smoke is a deal breaker. First time on the balcony someone is smoking. According to the carnival website that is a $500 fine. We reported the people smoking. I paid the ...
I chose this cruise for the ports of call namely Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove- certainly, all of these ports were absolutely wonderful to visit! The Conquest is an average ship, we enjoyed the sailing her but would not search her out again to sail on.
Pros: Casino smoke was not bad!
The layout of the ship is nice, it was not too difficult to get used to.
Guest Services had ...
Overall the cruise was great. The comedy was the best of any cruise I've been on. Food and service was fantastic as usual. We also tried any time dining for the first time and never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. Enjoyed the Mongolian wok; it was nice not having to wait in line. Also the phone app that allowed you to see the days itinerary and request seating for any time dining from your ...
This is my second time cruising on Carnival Pride from Baltimore. It has been 8 years since I been on this boat. This boat needs a really good renovation. It's outdated from the decor to the ship. Some spots were leaking where we were standing, the decor is old and peeling. You can see all of the aging and wear and tear on the ship. The bathroom shower kept overflowing and water was everywhere on ...
This was our sixth cruise with Carnival-we've not used any other company. Let's start off by saying the boarding procedure was fine and the disembarkation was tolerable. Service in all aspects was excellent but Carnival has lessened the product. Our last cruise was two years ago and we noticed a definite downgrading in some of the dinner choices in the dining room as well as the quality of some ...
We love this ship and Carnival Cruise line. This trip had new destinations and traveled from a new port. We went in November 2018 and loved playing the Craps electronic game. This was a highlight. We were disappointed they removed this game. We played real craps and this was much harder to win and ended up losing a lot of money. We switched to slots. Carnival considers the casino as being too ...
