We were originally booked on Carnival Freedom, but one day I found an email in my inbox telling me that Freedom was going to be dry docked during our vacation (WHAT?!?) and we needed to rebook. Through much discussion, and more than one reservation specialist, we were able to book on Vista. I am so glad we did!!
I try not to travel on Carnival. Any other cruise line is nicer, classier, ...
I've been on around 8 cruises mostly carnival ships. This was by far the worst cruise I have ever been on. I think most of the problems can be contributed to cost cutting and not having enough people on board to keep up with the work load. I had dirty napkins and glasses that either had lipstick or dried food on them. I got coffee with my dessert at dinner once. How hard is it to bring coffee to ...
The Dream is an excellent size ship and rarely seemed crowded. Only 2 small pools but numerous hot tubes available that are at a low temp and seem like your own personal pool. Ship is clean and well maintained. Modern, not dated at all. Service very good. Walter our head waiter and number one his assistant took a few dinners to come out of their shell, but for the most part were friendly, funny ...
We chose this cruise out of Galveston to avoid the schools winter break here on the East Coast (NY). Arriving to the port was not bad, usual traffic. Parking was easy at EZ park across the street ($80 for the week). Woman at the exit was extra unpleasant lol but that did not impact our trip. We had an ocean suite (7333) that was clean, quiet and comfortable, just what we expected. The food was ...
We have sailed 10+times with Carnival. Through the years the attention to detail and the desire to make you feel special has gotten overlooked. Wait staff no where near as good, room stewards not as attentive, food not as good or repetitive. This particular shop is VERY difficult to navigate. My wife and I searched for an hour to find the movie theater which is an extra cost. Too many areas are ...
This was the first Dream class ship I have sailed after many cruises with Carnival Cruise Line. As can happen on a new ship this was one of those: " by the time I get off I'll know my way around " cruises. Walking up to deck 4 to cross over the main galley to descend to deck 3 got tiresome but it is what it is. Spirit class ships have me spoiled no doubt.
The cruise director Gary was every bit ...
Started my journey by driving to Ft Lauderdale on Friday before the cruise. Stayed at the Hampton Inn Cruise Port North. Great hotel for cruising out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale. They have a shuttle to Miami now and parking at hotel.. Left on Satuarday morning for parking in Miami. It took about thirty minutes to get to Safe cruise Parking lot. Easy to find and good shuttle service.Took about ...
The Carnival Breeze is basically the floating version of Guy Fieri: Loud, obnoxious, garish, overstuffed and cheap.
After a decade in use, the Breeze needs to be dry docked and spruced up -- it's showing its age. The smoking areas are WAY too big and poorly positioned. The casino is right in the middle of the ship and is basically a poison cloud.
Lots of lunch options on the Breeze. The Guy ...
This was an awesome cruise overall!! The service and staff were amazing. The ports were very interesting and the Carnival excursion were a great value for what we paid. The food was very good as was the entertainment and activities. We really enjoyed the Serenity Deck and spent a lot of time there. Our room stewards were awesome very friendly and helpful with all of our requests. We did not ...
This is our fourth cruise on Carnival and until this last cruise we've been VERY satisfied. We took our two daughters with us to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, and my sister and her husband surprised us and sailed with us as well. We all had Balcony cabins, but the cabins looked VERY used. Given the price difference, I had expected better quality accommodations. We booked early ...
