Absolutely awful cruise to go on as a honeymoon, should have just spent the entire week in Charleston instead of getting on the boat.
Cons:
Drinks should not include 18 percent gratuity for just grabbing a beer out of the cooler and should not be around 8 ish per beer.
Toilets had no water in them and I had to fill the toilet with water just to get everything down.
Breakfast was ...
This was my second ever cruise, the first was 12 years ago. This ship was so much better and the service was excellent. The nightly entertainment was great and our cruise director was awesome.
We did the Salsa and Salsa tour into Merida and I highly recommend that especially if you aren't an avid beach-goer and want something different for a day.
We also did the Faster to the Fun option ...
Honeymoon, no airfare required, Platinum status with Carnival this cruise seemed like a great option. 2 days prior to sailing we got call to upgrade from french door interior to balcony for $300 total. Since this was our honeymoon sailing we did it. The entire cruise I received all paperwork for another couple. Our room steered even called us by these names when we finally met hi m on day 4. ...
Let me preface this review by disclosing that my wife and I are Platinum Level with Princess so that is our comparison.
Although we were only Ruby level, the boarding process was quick and easy we arrived for our appointment right on time and were on board by 12:00 pm. We had a suite so we had early access to our cabin. The Lido deck was packed and so was the buffet so we grabbed a burger ate ...
The Carnival Glory is a grand ship that is pleasing to the the eye. Every detail of this ship has been carifully and magically created by the designers. The staff was friendly and informative about the activities that were happening aboard the Carnival Glory. The cleaning team under Aurelio care did a fantastic job of keeping the rooms clean and I enjoyed that they folded the towels into animal ...
We left Fort Lauderdale and sailed to Half Moon Cay, then Grand Turk, then Aruba, then Curacao...weather was exceptional the whole time! It was our family reunion cruise and this was the perfect itinerary!
We left Fort Lauderdale and sailed to Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. Carnival owns this island. This was the only tendered stop. Nice. We walked around for about an hour and returned to ...
I am a former cancer patient. I entered remission just a few months ago and had my leg amputated. This was my first cruise. I want to start off with the musicians. There was music for everybody’s taste. But I enjoyed ALL of them. Luisa, Juliana and Juan in the Accidental String Trio were just...the only word to describe it was beautiful. Neil was singing and Jammin’ the reggae hits on the steel ...
I’ve been on a few carnival ships but Sensation would have to be the most boring that I’ve experience. This ship lacked entertainment!!! Although the cruise director Dion was very entertaining and super funny and friendly, the ship did not have much of anything going on while we were at sea... they not only need more shows but more variety. There was one nightclub(hip hop every night) which was ...
This was our first cruise and we were up to minute afraid it would not happen due to Barry. We found out 2 days ahead we would actually sail and drove to NOLA on Sunday and spent the night. Convention blvd is pretty torn up around the Port so that was a bit of a nightmare but boarding on Monday was very smooth and the porters very nice in making sure our luggage and our departure was stress free. ...
We really enjoyed our cruse on the Carnival Freedom. The crew was very nice and everything was very clean. The main pool and water slides are also fun. The ship is not huge so the number of people on board is not crazy. So the lines are not to crazy. If you happen to go to their private island, Half Moon Cay the line to get back on the tender will be very long at the end of the day. So either stay ...
