I just returned from the carnival sunshine cruise Oct. 4, 2014. This was my first cruise and I must say I had a great time. The cruise ship was adequate. I have to voice my opinion about the slippery Lido deck. I heard that a lot of people fell because of the deck being slippery at all times. The deck leading into the buffet was also slippery at all times. I fell on the last day after trying to be ...
I am extremely well traveled and sometimes hard to please and I just wanted to say that this cruise was absolutely amazing. We had sailed one other time in the past with Royal Caribbean on one of their newly refurbished boats and yes, that ship compared to the Paradise was a bit nicer, but we read online that was to be expected. We are from Tampa, so we were happy for the easy in and out convince ...
This review will be short and to the point(s).
Food: If you enjoy Steak and Shake, you will be safe on this ship in the Main dining rooms. For buffet and the rest of the locations, just be happy you get full. The quality of the food on the ship is mediocre. My favorite place to eat was the Mongolian Wok out on the Lido deck. I didn’t try out room service though.
Entertainment: I never have seen ...
Plenty of food, but was just, "okay", nothing to rave about. Pool?? DISGUSTING!!! No bigger than a bath tub, have to climb way up to get into, and was very small for a ship with that many people on it. Hot tub?? was a joke! 4 people and you were elbow to elbow with each other, crammed in there. TERRIBLE! If you are unable to get around, wheelchair, etc. or can't get off the ship when it docks you ...
Have been on two cruises and the first was wonderful. This one on the Elation was terrible! The glass elevators were out of service the WHOLE cruise so the other elevators were completely overloaded and did not work half the time!! Workmen were constantly repairing things in the hallways...The food was lackluster, even in the dining room! The lido deck food was sparse to non existent with the ...
So, we just got off or ship yesterday, with me and my husband and 4 kids.
*The embarkation process on the ship went very fast. We actually boarded earlier then we were supposed too.
*Once on the ship, the kids were amazed! They were so excited. Nothing had changed since the last time I was on the Elation. I hear they are dry docking it in September but not sure if they are going to make any ...
We were so excited to be going on our FIRST cruise together and what better time than our Honeymoon!! I immediately jumped on Carnival's site and Pinterest, I just knew this trip would be EPIC! Then I made the mistake of reading some reviews, fortunately that was a good thing because then my disappointment was as bad as it would have been if I didn't ...
First of all each cruise is different and ...
* I decided to book this last minute cruise for my husband's birthday. I read all the reviews and set our expectations prior to boarding. Check-in process was fast, our rooms were ready when we boarded (12:30pm) and our luggage made it to our rooms prior to leaving the dock. The main entry was quite cramped and I felt claustrophobic however I was not spending much time there so it really did not ...
We were on the Cloud 9 Spa, on the 12th floor, Riviera, with a balcony. We thought the room would be larger than what we had before on the 8th floor on Carnival Liberty, three years ago.. They were totally the same room. There were four of us and we need more space to put our things away. We lined suit cases up against the wall going out to the balcony. We had 3 closest and used those also. The ...
My husband and I have just returned from a seven day cruise on the Carnival Dream. We booked an Ocean Suite because we wanted to do something very special for our anniversary this year. We sailed on 3/29/2014 and returned on 4/05/2014. I would like to share a little of our vacation with you.
First, I would like to tell you that we have never had complaints on any of our cruises with Carnival, and ...
