A group of us decided to take a cruise for spring break. Many of us had not been on a cruise before so we figured we would give it a shot and see how it went. I can tell you right now we will not be rushing back for another cruise, especially from Carnival. I am not sure where to start exactly but I will do my best. There were both positives and negatives from our trip so I will do my best do ...
I chose this cruise because there were limited cruises left to choose from. The ship is small compare to what I have been on before. The ship had a few wears and tears. Our restroom had rust and strips loosen. We were on a ocean views side and the windows had small leaks.
The food was GREAT!! JUST TOO MUCH FOOD.
My sister and niece went along with me and they found it to be fun as well, ...
My family chose this cruise for Spring Break, mainly because it was very convenient being that we left out of Charleston. Worst ,mistake ever! the food was terrible. We ordered room service every night because that was the only hot, fresh food that they had. Buffet was nasty! Meat still had blood running out of it! Also, no food for kids. The workers at many of the bars were VERY rude. While ...
Just got back. What a blast ! Everyone was wonderful.
Embarkation was really smooth. Easy parking in a secure warehouse.
Arrived at the port at 11:00 and was on the Lido deck by 11:40 having the first tropical adult beverage. The cheers programs was great. Every ticket showed 0.00 owed.
The crew treated us like family. They were all smiles and knew us by name.
The dining room ...
Embarkation was fast and easy and from there it went downhill. The Ocean was so rough that if was very difficult walking and we could not dock in Nassau for safety reasons. I realize that Carnival had no control over the weather and we just made the best of it. But as seniors taking our first cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary we were not prepared for the deafening noise aboard this ship. ...
We chose this cruise because it sailed out of Charleston, which was convenient for us.
Had it been my first cruise, it would have been my last!
Food was mediocre.....some meals were fantastic, other food items were horrible....most were so so
Service was friendly, but slow. Bars were staffed with one bartender....rarely two.
The cabin was small....and even smaller with the kids beds in ...
All aspects of the cruise were great as usual. We have sailed on the Ecstasy four times now and have no major complaints except one "THE ENTERTAINMENT IS OLD AND REALLY BAD" they are still doing that British invasion thing and the Motown thing. Both are old and an insult to returning cruisers. The comedians are always hit and miss but this time one was pretty funny and the other was horrible. How ...
So before I write this review, I need to make it clear, I am reviewing this cruise ship for what she truly is, and by that I mean, I am going to review her based on the fact she is nearly 30 years old and much smaller than most modern day cruise liners.
The first part of the review will be on Charleston, SC and the embarkation process. I have cruised around 10 times on Carnival and Royal ...
I have been on several cruises so far, and with different cruise lines, so I know a bit about what to expect and I know what to accept. Yes, there is actually a difference.
Example - I accepted the fact that the experience of princess cays was ruined by the rain. It is no fault of Carnival or the people or anything ...but the weather. I expected princess cays to be a wonderful island with ...
Had a great time on the Carnival Ecstasy. Went with a small group out of Charlotte NC and we drove down the day of the cruise. This was my the 10th cruise and 3rd time going out of Charleston but 1st on the Ecstasy. I usually go with a 20s and 30s Social Club in Charlotte with anywhere from 5-30 people going. It's always more fun to go with a group.
Parking wasn't an issue and was easy to get a ...
