It was a great experience.

I chose this cruise for my first cruise with my friends to celebrate graduating from college. It was such an amazing experience, and that was in large part, due to the wonderful staff on this ship, who helped make it an unforgettable experience. The entertainment crew (fun squad), were some of my favorite, and in particular the DJ, Lee. He was so funny and just amazing at what he does. I enjoyed ...

This was my 1st cruise experience. We purchased this cruise for my daughters college graduation gift. We had a great time! Gary, the cruise director, shows are a must see. We saw as much as we could everyday. So many activities planned. Nightly trivia games, comedian, and lots and lots of dancing. It was fantastic. Food was good. We ate on the Lido deck throughout the day and dining room at night. ...

The Pluses and Minuses of Carnival Ecstasy

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Ecstasy

Chose this cruise based on the ports of call - St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and the length of the cruise and embarkation port close to home. Pluses of the ship: Clean ship, easy to get around, great ship for smoker's, Negatives: For non-smoker's they must walk through the casino smoking area to get to the aft or forward part of the ship. Food: Lido - Way below par - cold ...

Great time, but bad time of year to go!

First time on this ship. Although old and small, it was totally fine and acceptable. We will NOT cruise again during this time frame. We appeared to have been caught in a time warp - where no party people were on board. This was my eighth Carnival cruise, and I have never seen such a dull crowd. Our group of 6 would laugh out loud at dinner and people would shoot us dirty looks. Very odd ...

This was my first cruise and I enjoyed myself so much that I didn't want it to end. The Carnival staff is just amazing! The cabin was so clean! The young men who cleaned our room Rust and Ting knew us by name and we had just arrived. They were so friendly I went to my room to get a few dollars for Rust and he started laughing and saying "Thank you." My roommate said "Yes, he knew you had never ...

Our son sailed with Carnival in the past and recommended it. Everything about the cruise was perfect. Even our storeroom steward Cyril was a joy to interact with. He was always full of information, answering our questions and helping us navigate our first cruise. We will sail again with Carnival. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We found the ship to be clean. All the crew members were ...

Amazing time on our first cruise

Charleston is the nearest port from our location and that is why we opted for it. The Ship does not look like that it is 30 years old, we enjoyed our stay during entire duration. Embarkation was very quick, we reached port at 1 PM and we were in Ship at 1:35 PM. Stayed in Grand Suite, that was very nice and great balcony view. We are pure vegetarian and there are less options available ...

We planned a girls trip and choose Carnival Ecstasy because we could drive to the port in Charleston. I have been on 9 other cruises (3 with Carnival) and was looking forward to 5 days with my friends. As soon as the ship left the port it started rocking and NEVER stopped!! We all became sick sea and spent the first 2 days in bed! Passengers were throwing up in trash cans and placing them ...

My husband and I are back home, kinda sad, but full of great memories. Our embarkation went quickly and smoothly. We purchased the Faster to the Fun package and were so glad we did. We arrived about 11:00 A.M., had our luggage handled and parked our car and were in our cabin before 11:30. Our ocean view cabin was clean and cheery. The entire staff in any area of the ship were friendly and ...
