Carnival Charleston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Worst vacation I have ever had!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Ecstasy

I was told by family and friends that cruising is very enjoyable and relaxing experience. So I gave it a try for the first time on the Carnival Ecstasy. I am driving home now and want to share my experience to keep others from wasting their money. When I got off the ship today I felt like I had been released from a jail cell. This was the most stressful, nerve racking and unrelaxing vacation I ...

This was my very 1st cruise. My family had our reunion and chose Carnival Ectasy: I was so excited to go because I had never been on a cruise before let alone to the Bahamas. There was so much to do on the boat. I just want to say that all the staff were very courteous and so so nice. I never saw anyone standing around they we all doing something all the time. The cruise director was ...

I wasn't super impressed with the cleanliness of my room, to be honest. There seemed to be some dust, or maybe mold - the first night, my nose was going crazy. Also, aren't cruises supposed to have a ton of entertainment? I feel like I was waiting for events the whole time. The food was okay. The breakfast was great, even though my girlfriend didn't really bother eating most of the stuff that ...

The food was much better than expected. My last cruise, the food in the dining room was not good at all and very small portions. This time, the food was very good, and very fulfilling. Most of the staff that we interacted with new us by name. They remembered our names right after meeting us. The dining staff was friendly and never seemed bothered if we wanted to change our order. The Lido deck ...

I suggested to my extended family that we take this cruise as we had all gathered for my cousins wedding in Charleston. I have been on Carnival before and loved it. However I was disappointed in the poor quality of food on this trip and embarrassed frankly that I suggested this to our family. Guys hamburgers were great and breakfast in the windstar good. Dinners in windstar disappointing and ...

We had an amazing time. The food and entertainment was wonderful. The kids loved the Kids club. The beach day was great. We loved Nassau as well. We took a 10 best of Nassau bus tour that had mixed reviews on the carnival excursion website. However we loved it! We did not find the sales people to be pushy, everyone we met was friendly and wanted to hear about where we were from and help us find ...

We chose this cruise because the port was close to home and we were taking my elderly parents. Also, bc it’s a 4 day cruise which we thought would b best for my parents. This ship was built in 1991 and it shows!!!! Things are very rusty and old. Our room had lights that were blown, and my parents electrical outlets didn’t work. They did fix these issues promptly. There was often a sewage smell. It ...

Great 5-Days on the Ecstasy

Going into the cruise we (myself, wife, and 15 year old daughter) knew the Ecstasy wasn't the newest ship in the fleet or had all the bells and whistles. With that being said this one on of the best cruise experiences we've ever had. The ship is showing its age, but the crew was continuously cleaning and doing maintenance. I'm not a fan of the new once per day cabin service, but we choose ...

This was the first time my family cruised, and my father wanted a port close to home. Charleston is 2 hours away from where we live. My SO and I (mid 30s), my sister and niece, and my parents (mid 60s), cruised together, having staterooms next to one another on the Empress deck. This review is based on my opinions, and since we've never cruised before, I have nothing to base any of this off of ...

We sailed on the Carnival Ecstasy for our first cruise six years ago and decided to go on this ship again since the port is so close. While the ship is older and perhaps not as fancy as newer ships, it is very well maintained and clean. We really enjoyed the addition of new restaurants, such as Guy's Burgers. Pros: -By and large, service was excellent. There were a couple of issues (which ...
