I've now been on 5 cruises, with this Carnival Conquest being the 5th. I have done two with Princess and two with Royal Caribbean, and those will most likely be the two that I stick with.
Let me start off this review by saying that in no way was this a terrible experience! My boyfriend and I do two large vacations a year and we chose this particular itinerary for the specific ports and the ...
I tried carnival cruise line again after a 10 years of sailing Royal Caribbean. I was attracted to the lower price and curious if the lower price was worth a "potentially" lower level offering.
This ship is old...even fresh out of dry dock...the ship is worn out...no other way to describe it. Having said that, it is clean for the most part but there are some sore spots. Also a lingering sewage ...
Our second cruise on the Freedom in the past 4 years. Everything was great and we had a very good time. Both embarkation and disembarkation were a snap! Lot's of fun at the Piano Bar (good entertainer but not a great singer but still lots of fun). No service or food problems and the weather was great as well as the ports. Only slight disappointment is with the continual changing of liquor ...
We have always been more than satisfied with our previous Carnival cruises, and will definitely do another. Embarkation was smooth, disembarkation was a little slow, but not horrible. We chose early dining and the food in the dining room was very good, just not really hot. I'm not sure how they could deliver it to all the those tables without the food cooling down, but they should work on that. ...
It was available during spring break. I wouldn't go again if I had to do it over again. They changed the itenerary about 10 days prior to the cruise which caused some difficulty. Entertainment on the ship was very good. Food in buffet is poor, food at dinner was better. Grill is good for lunch each day but same thing is served over and over. The people who work on the ship work very hard, ...
Throughout the whole cruise we were told it would be a magical experience and so much fun. This was Incorrect. We started out very hopeful on day one, until that night when we were trying to sleep. We stayed in Cabin R94 on deck 4..... There was TONS of loud banging, and what sounded like carts moving up and down scraping against the wall of out cabin. We complained about all the noise, they had ...
I have a lot of travel points with Carnival and there were no available cruise offers for me on my usual Mexican Riviera cruise. Therefore, my friend and I chose the Eastern Caribbean.
The ship appeared worn and dirty. It looked like it needs a complete "makeover."
Embarkation with "Faster to the Fun" helped the process.
Our cabin needed a thorough cleaning; our cabin steward James was ...
Nice old ship have been on it 4 times always stayed on the Empress deck E74,E76 & E78. It is easier to get any where on the ship in that location. The Paradise need some updates but it is clean and the staff is excellent to say the least. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and very pleasant. I like a smaller ship over a new large one not as many people .I have read all reviews ...
The overall cruise was the typical Carnival experience. Nothing negative to note. Yes, the construction was still going on, with all the previous complaints Carnival made sure to give us ample opportunities to get a full refund. Each cabin was giving a $200 credit and kids under 17 were given a free excursion. That was a generous offer for which I am grateful.
The dining was good. I ...
We chose this cruise because as the only siblings left in our family we wanted to do something together. Some of the things disappointing about the cruise were 1) no table clothes on dinning tables, that use to make you feel like you we dinning in a luxury establishment, now to save a buck they did away with the table cloth and you now feel like your in a fast food restaurant. 2) no refrigerator ...
