We chose this cruise due to the dates, balcony and price. It was easy getting on and off the boat. We could bring a 12-pack of soda and two bottles of wine which helped to have in the room. Room service was minimal. We ordered two Reubens the first night which were good and Continental breakfast and coffee for the morning, which worked out great.
Food was good. The breakfast buffet was ...
We went on this cruise as a "bonus" We had fun, entertainment was good, food was OK. Public rooms were small. Hard to watch entertainment in atrium because few places to sit. much of the trivia was on the promenade, right next to the smoky casino. Lots of traffic through there, and bar right next to it...very noisy and hard to hear. Food was OK. The American Table food is a downgrade, and my ...
Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth.
Upon meeting our room steward, he asked us if we wanted morning or evening room service. I prefer the morning and evening service Carnival used to provide. Our room was clean. Beds, pillows and bedding were comfortable. The rooms were all insulated for sound. Outside of a couple of rude guests who did their best to wake up sleeping guests, we ...
We decided to go on the Sunshine because it was doing a Journeys cruise and who doesn't love extra days on vacation! The ship is very clean and well taken care of. I loved how new everything looked and the layout of the ship was so different compared to all the other ships I have been on. The water slides were lots of fun and it was amazing to look out over the ocean when you climbed up to the ...
I was a little worried after booking this cruise because I read some bad reviews on the Sunshine. I'm glad I decided to wait and see for myself. This was the best cruise we've ever taken. The ship was fabulous. The Serenity deck is amazing. Yes, you had to get up early to get a chair by the pool but thankfully my husband is an early riser. The staff on the ship was the best ever. Emma, the ...
Pros: Live near Charleston and did not go to the Bahamas
Embarkation and disembarkation was satisfactory
Food was good and the dining room service was excellent especially Sunita
Cabin steward's were the best
Ship was clean
Never introduced to the officers and crew as is done on most of the other ships I have sailed on
...
The dining and main part of the deck was too small for the volume of people. Dining was almost always crowded, deck area was filled to capacity. The water park area took up a large part of the deck, however, there were not many kids on this cruise - leaving the rest of us fighting for comfortable space in the remaining 2 small pools and lounge chair areas.
The activities and constant ...
We chose this cruise because our friends were looking at something relatively affordable and not bad of a drive. The ship is older and smaller, but some public areas are nice, especially the promenade, atrium, spa, buffet, and dinning rooms. Other than that, the ship is quite dated, although some decks have been redone.
Embarkation was pretty straightforward, albeit parking was somewhat ...
The piano bar was my favorite and Clay was witty and hilarious and talented. All the guests and staff on the ship were friendly and engaging. I can't wait to book my next cruise. I loved the towel animals and even took the class to learn how to make my own. The food was delicious and I am glad there were stairs to take to keep me from gaining a million pounds. My room attendant Rilo was very ...
Carnival is fantastic. Embarkation and disembarkation couldn't have been handled any better. Complete organization. This ship was totally clean, the food was great. My wife and I along with my step-daughter and her husband were totally satisfied with the whole cruise. The Carnival excursions were well presented a little pricey but you get what you pay for. The cabins were kept immaculate as well ...
